Favorite Gaming cinematic moments? **minor spoilers**

Was thinking about this on my way to work today; What moments in gaming just awed you with how the scene was presented.

I came up with a short list, in no particular order:

Witcher 1: opening cutscene - Striga fight
Mass Effect 1: First arrival at the Citadel
Mass Effect 1: Destruction of Sovereign
Red Dead Redemption: Arriving in Mexico - Far Away (probably my favorite one, felt so much like a movie)
Skyrim: First Dragon fight
Mass Effect 3: Assembling the fleets - full resources w/ Geth and Quarian fleets (made me say "F*** you, you Reaper B****es!!!")
Alan Wake - Stage Battle (well really, all of the game, particularly the "Previously on Alan Wake" before each episode, but this one really was awesome)
Witcher 2: Final Letho fight
Batman Arkham City: Chain gliding under the Tiger Attack helos during end game.

The end of Mass Effect 1 is a moment that sticks out. Remember just sitting back in my chair with almost tears in my eyes. That was a really good game.

The end of Mafia too. It was more a epilogue I suppose, but it was very, very good.

Those are the two that stick out for me, because they were emotional, but not in a cheesy and "wrong" kind of way.

There are several others that stand out from less cinematic games, like Planescape Torment, Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, and To The Moon.

The end of Mass Effect 1 is a moment that sticks out. Remember just sitting back in my chair with almost tears in my eyes. That was a really good game.

Yeah, that moment where you see your party in the remains to the Tower, and Anderson asks one of them about you, and they hang their head and shake it. Then the music picks up and you see your character crawl out from under the rubble, injured, but alive. Yeah, that was a great ending... Shame they pooched the ending in ME3.

Oh there's so many. Both Witcher games have some outstanding moments. Jacques revealing his vision to Geralt, Letho killing Foltest in front of you.

But for now, I'll share with you the ending of Little Big Adventure 2, one of my favourite games of all time. After defeating his nemesis and saved the kidnapped children of Twinsun, Twinsen must rush back to his planet to prevent its moon from destroying it. Almost failing in stopping the moon along with having the aliens come out of nowhere to lend a hand always brings a tear to my eye The joy I feel just thinking about LBA2 is crazysauce. And he just had his kid Arthur and the alien world was restored to its former beauty. Ah... Amazing game btw, I really recommend it

Oh and honourable mentions goes to the Walking Dead. That game had some intense fucking moments. Bah there are so many awesome scenes, I could write a dissertation ffs! I'll stop here, else I'll go on forever

That one is epic, although the Human ending from the original is one of the most perfect cinematics ever made imo.

I'll have to go with the Очи чёрные opera scene from Syberia. It's beautiful and a bit creepy.

The ending of Syberia 2 was pretty amazing as well. The game had its flaws, but the ending is exactly what it should be.

That was spectacular!!!

Arkham Asylum/City was loaded with cinematic moments. Even common things like fighting was silver screen material.

Mass Effect 2's opener was also great, not to mention the beginning, well all of it!, assembling the team and dealing with Cyberus. I still haven't finished the beginning though. Cover based shooting bored me to tears.

These were amazing, Syberia was the second puzzle adventure game i ever played (after Jack the Ripper), and it was absolutely amazing!

I am not a fan of cinematics. They bore me and hence none are very memorable. I do think there were some good ones in Mass Effect 2, mostly because of the music, which I remember more than the visuals. There is the derelict reaper ship- falling down those big platforms gave me RL nightmares- and going through the Omega-4 relay.

Assassination of Demovend (it is Oscar-worthy if you ask me)
When Letho killed Foltest (I did not cry, obviously, but I really felt for Anais who saw it happened)
Dark Souls - arrival to Lordran, and flight to Anor Londo. I have no idea why, but it always makes my heart skip a beat.

I have way too many cinematic moments that I love. The Witcher 2 has plenty. Mass Effect had a few. Assassin's Creed has several. Almost every Blizzard cinematic was awesome in the old days (Grom and Thrall vs Mannoroth? Arthas killing his father?).
