oh, I love all music in general. I listen to everything from Billy Holiday to Led Zeppelin. Although, I am probably a rocknroll girl at heart. So I can't say I have any one favorite band. Right this moment, I am really digging Juliette and the Licks. Can't seem to stop playing it. Amy Winehouse has recently piqued my interest too, though I haven't heard much of her stuff yet. I'm intrigued just because her sound kind of reminds me of Etta James, and I LOVE Etta. Tried and true music I know I can always pop in: Zeppelin or Pearl Jam (kinda cliche I know, but hey) of course Dark Side of the Moon

Well, I like a variety of metal styles, and classic hard rock / metal bands. I used to listen to stuff like Rhapsody a lot, but now I can't take it anymore... just too many dragons, kings and too much "look how fast I can play" music for me.That said, I don't like those bands that play as fast as possible most of the time in general. Makes me dizzy and most of the time is not helping the music for me. Although I love the later albums of "Death" (everything after "Scream bloody gore", after and including "Individual though patterns" preferred). I also listen to blues / blues rock sometimes and generally a good break never hurts and some odd notes can spice things up considerably.Bands I like:- Nevermore (highly underrated band IMHO)- older Metallica (Black Album and before)- Iron Maiden- Death- Control Denied- Deep Purple- Queensryche- Soilwork- Steve Morse Band (great guitarist, no singer to screw things up )I tried to keep the list short.

It's quite interesting to see here and almost everywhere on CRPG boards that fans of the genre seem to prefer Metal and Goth music. Just an observation that makes me wonder if all fans of the Sims listen to Britney and R&B, or what fans of strategy games like Anno or Settlers might listen to... Personally, I'm not much into Metal or Goth, I used to listen to a few of them a long time ago, but I don't think that my musical taste has anything to to with the game genre I prefer. Although, hmm... I have some Folkrock records in my collection (Fairport, Pentangle etc.) that sometimes resemble medieval tunes, so there might be a connection... *shrug*
