Feature Requests for the NEXT patch 2.4, 2.5, 2.6 etc

+

As a long-time player and fan of Cyberpunk 2077, I wanted to respectfully submit a few feature ideas and quality-of-life improvements for consideration in a future patch. These aren’t just wishlist items—they're enhancements that would expand immersion, narrative depth, and player connection to Night City. Many of these already exist in the modding community, proving that they are both technically feasible and well-received.

1. Full Native Modding Tools

  • Providing full modding support would unlock a new era of community creativity.
  • Mods are keeping the game alive and thriving—official support (like Creation Kit for Bethesda titles) would empower creators while maintaining stability.

2. New Game Plus (NG+) – Official Implementation

  • There’s already an excellent NG+ mod that works seamlessly. (so im sure you guys could implement THAT into the game)
  • Official NG+ would provide a reason to replay with all perks, cyberware, and character progression intact, greatly enhancing replay value.

3. Third-Person Camera Mode (Immersive Only)

  • A non-combat third-person view for walking and exploration would allow players to:
    • Fully appreciate their character's appearance and style.
    • Experience Night City from a new and immersive angle, beyond photo mode or vehicles.

❤️ 4. Expanded Romance Partner Interactions

  • The "I Really Want to Stay at Your House" quest is a great concept—why not take it further?
    • Let romance partners move in, visit regularly, or even call to say they're coming over.
    • Enable small talk, drives around the city, or impromptu hangouts like Johnny’s sequences.
  • Romance characters deserve more screen time and connection with V, especially in a world that thrives on human interaction.

5. More Hangouts Beyond the Apartment

  • We can spend time with Johnny and other NPCs—why not romance partners?
    • Sitting at bars, going to the Afterlife together, hanging at the Aldecaldo camp, or even joining for side gigs.
    • Just seeing them outside the scripted moments would go a long way in making them feel real.

6. Full Visual Cyberware Customization – Let V Look Like the World You Built

We see it everywhere—in Cyberpunk 2077’s official promotional art, trailers, merchandise, comics, and across Night City itself:

  • Faceplates, chrome jaws, visible cyberarms, optical rigs, full chrome skin, neural plugs, external power cables—it’s all there.
  • NPCs flaunt incredible cyberware aesthetics—Rogue, Oda, Sandayu, random fixers, gangoons, and even civilians.
  • But V? We barely get access to any of it, despite being the most modded merc in Night City.

That visual identity is core to the Cyberpunk look—and it’s frustrating that we can’t be what the world advertises.

Request: Let us fully customize V with all of the visual cyberware styles seen across the franchise:

  • Add these options to the character creator and Ripperdoc system.
  • Make them cosmetic—no gameplay change needed, just visuals.
  • Give us full-body cyberware variants, skin plating styles, and optic mod selections that reflect the Night City aesthetic.

This is a game about identity, expression, and being cyberpunk. Let us live it—visually.

🧠 Final Thought

Many of these features are already proven by mods and deeply appreciated by the community. While mods are powerful, having these natively implemented would offer a stable and consistent experience for all players—especially those on consoles.

Cyberpunk 2077 has evolved beautifully. Let’s make it even better.

Sincerely,
A dedicated player

At least, hope make us alive :)

Cosmetic cyberware is my number one request for sure. Even if we’re just talking about textures that are compatible with the garment system. Like what Rogue has on her torso.

As for romance hangouts, I wish they would ditch all the recycled dialogue that makes the love interest sound like a robot. It’s pretty stiff and immersion breaking.
I would almost prefer if they just replaced the hangout with a number of first person cutscenes of them, well, hanging out, going out on the town/staying in, and then hopping into bed to sleep at the end. Similar to the time-skip cutscene. I honestly think that would feel much more organic.

Personally I’m not interested in having NG+ for this game. Also not interested in third person view for this game. However I’m very interested in seeing V more without breaking the first person experience (mirrors, through cameras, etc.). I think that’s not likely though - perhaps in the sequel (whoever the protag may be).

I got some braindance cartridges in my inventoy. i just want to experience that stuff like those crackhead npc´s do.

when reading logs and texts and dealing with photomode, there is almost no background sound. there needs to be optional radio.

it would be cool to search for more collectible items like the iguana egg or david´s jacket.

a poker table or gwent mini game would be fine as well.

^^ i can relate 100%
it was already said that ng+ and 3rd person view is not gonna happen for a reason and it´s not because they can´t do it.

I like most of those suggestions. I doubt that any will happen, but I like them. Interestingly, 2, 4, 5, partially 6, and a cobbled together version of 3 are already implemented in various mods.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's something they will implement in Cyberpunk 2 (as it's now named^^). It's likely something they wanted to add in the game at the time but well... happened what happened and didn't manage to achieve it (the idea was there, hence the very start of the game in the mirror).

And with path tracing and RT reflexions, it would looks amazing and like you say, will not break the first person (I hate when dev mixe both just for the sake of seeing your character^^).

It's incredible what you're asking for! That's what I meant in the comments for patch 2.3. It proves that we're not the only players who want this, but rather a large number of users and fans of Cyberpunk. But I'd like to add to your list of requests for future patches: more contracts, new ones, as well as more side quests and new NCPD alerts. And above all, more interactions with NPCs in the open world, being able to just sit in a bar and drink a beer for real! With real animation and possibly conversations with the bartender, or even with other merchants in the game, making every vendor in the game useful.
I sincerely hope ❤️ that CDproject will read all these forums, listen to their community, and act accordingly.
I really hope that despite the Orion project, they will continue to improve the game, add elements, and keep the game alive ❤️

Weapon visual customization would be a dream coming true.
i hate that i have to scavenge around for guns with good paintjobs, just let me do it myself!

I would love to see fps cap slider on consoles. To allow limiting fps to 30, 60 or 120 depending on user. In that case for ray tracing mode on ps5 pro it wouldn't match 60fps but it would match 40-50 and with VRR it would be more than enough for now. And for the future generations with backward compatibility it would allow playing with ray tracing mode with 60+ fps.

I want more control and accessibility settings, as per my post here. Also an option on PC to manually select controller prompts.

If NG+ is not done, at least get an option to obtain path-choice-locked iconics from Black Market. Apparition for non-Corpos is there, why not Doom Doom which is impossible to get on the same playthrough as Chaos & Sir John Phallustiff? same goes for: Cheetah (unavailable if peacefully resolved No Easy Way Out); Fang/Murphy's law depending on path taken, Bunker Crowbar/Pariah - same. Basically even with Black Market it's impossible to have all iconics in 1 playthrough, which undermines the point of having it. Blackwall-related stuff that requires quest-related schematics - ok, makes sense to not have.
Oh and finally, make Twitch drops obtainable from either BM or random airdrops, Yasha in particular. And also maybe randomize the order in which Amazon weapons drop, getting Foxhound takes a looooong time.

Given a ton of extra content, raising level cap to 70 would make sense (and maybe adding more gear upgrade levels - turn 5++ into 6, add 6+, 7, 7+. Can also make Tier 6 onwards a new "platinum" component color).
And adjust cutoff levels: right now 5+ starts from 41, while earlier 1 tier is 8 levels so half tier is 4 levels; correspondingly, 5+ should start on 37, 6 on 41, 6+ on 45, 7 on 49, 7+ on 53.
And, correspondingly, Cyberware capacity Cap would rise from 360 to 390 (with Edgerunner) / 460 (with Edgerunner and tier 6 Chrome compressor).
As things stand, getting to 60 - is very easy, i just do Watson gigs in the beginning, all main quest, first half of PL (up to You Know My Name) and dogtown gigs - and here it is. Leveling wise, gigs in all but 2 districts thus have no sense. Similarly, adding extra perks for street cred beyond 50 might make sense (raise it to 60 or 70 as well)

Adding basegame iconic cyberware that a player doesn't yet own, such as Falcon/Apogee Sandevistan or Netwatch Netdriver, into pool of possible iconic drops from airdrops (which drop you 1 of all PL-specific iconic cyberware but not basegame iconics), although apparently the drop mechanic doesn't (perfectly) check what you own already, in particular having Axolotl from Regina's The Last Call still drops another one in airdrops.

SWISS CHEESE SPAWN RATE in the world and/or shops needs to be more sensible - at levels 40+, patch 2.0-specific mods are pretty easy to find in shops but they start from purple Tier 4 quality; Swiss Cheese starts from green tier 2 quality, so at levels 10 to 20 it should be extremely easy to find in drops from enemies, and at levels 16 to 32 in stores (which sell other green - tier mods).

More on weapon mods - for newbies, level 16 is cutoff level for Tier 1 mods and 32 is cutoff for Tier 2 mods. So if for some reason you were missing a coupling mod to craft 1 higher-tier mod, and outleveled, those are basically junk forever. That should be fixed as well - say, after lvl33 when Tier5 weapons start dropping, others (Tier1-Tier4) continue dropping because you might still need lower tier components for upgrading say older iconics. Why not similar logic for mods?
One of popular NexusMods for mods (pun partially intended) is dismantling weapons doesn't throw out preinstalled mods.
