Female Witchers

It would be extremely boring if every last Witcher was a man, thank the gods female Witchers are a thing, even if it's not the norm

I don't really care if female witchers can or cannot exist. It's a fantasy/fiction, so you can always invent some reason why they could and that is ok.

My problem is deeper here. The way I see it, Witcher 4 simply opted for the usual "corporate AAA safe route" as all AAA games do. Zero risk, zero invention, zero innovation and fill all (politically correct) checkboxes.

l absolutely love to rp powerful female characters but I want them to bring more to the story than just... quite frankly... having boobs.

Imagine roleplaying a witch for example (what is a feminine word for witcher anyway). Someone like Yennefer, with magic, intrigue, and so on. That would be something new, with indeed powerful kick-ass female character, which could absolutely be _female_. For me a dream coming true.

Instead however... we get the same old boring AAA formula here. Take a male character (Geralt) and reskin it to female body. The story, the setting, all the same. Basically you could get Ciri in this way in Witcher 3 even by a simple mod retexturing Geralt. :p

The game will be probably successful as it will be huge and technically well made. Even I will probably not resist to buy it. But it will never become a legend. Because it does not dare to take any risks and explore new things. So... in the end it will be indeed just Witcher 4 with Geralt reskinned to Cirilla. What will be more cringe than beneficial, actually, as people will simply see it.

If I were proven wrong, I will be only happy. But from what I have seen so far, I doubt I would be.
