Field of View Fix Requested. FOV FIX needed.

This game currently makes me puke in about 40 minutes. This happens in any game of this type where the FOV is less then 80. I immediately feel it and I slowly get more and more ill. I estimate this game is about 60 which is way to close and motion sickness inducing. There are multiple boards about how to hack this game to fix it already. That means that I am not alone in this problem. We need a FOV slider. I would recommend two FOV sliders. One for Regular view and one for "Witcher View" that are independent of each-other.

The regular view being 60 is seriously bad, the Witcher view just makes it terribly worse so I can barely use that view at all.
I remember digging through configs to fix this in the previous games. So obviously no developer there has any motion sickness issues. I would suggest you test your games on some of us before release in the future. As this makes our reviews really nasty.

Really? It's a third person game, not really a requirement.

I agree... the FOV is atrocious in this game and gives me a headache if I sit at normal viewing distance. I've gotta sit way back from my normal viewing position to play the game. PLEASE add an FOV slider... I don't know why this is so difficult for game devs to include :(

please!!!!
I've been using a Cheat engine script for the FOV. problem with that is it breaks the cut scenes and causes a lot of crashes when loading into a new scene or loading a save file.

WE NEED PROPER FOV!

With you brother!
I get a head ache and dizzy after playing for only 15 minutes.

without it affecting the cut scenes.

BTW the games FOV while sprinting or walking around is 60, in combat it only adjust to 68.

90 should be a standard as a minimum at this day and age. I don't get motion sick, but it still feels like looking through a small window at times.

People still get motion sick with this narrow 60 degrees field of view, that ain't cool.

agree. Clearly need a fov slider OR beeing able to change the camera distance from geralt.

AND PLEASE let us change the zoom / fov during witcher sense, its attrocious actualy to use that
( even if i perfectly understand that it represent some kind of "concentration" so it make sense to have that kind of zoom. But only on gameplay side, its terrible to use. )

While they are on it please also add a behind the shoulder camera! You already have it with the encumbered status, you need to do nothing more than using the zoom in/out of the mouse to go in and out of it.

Pretty pleaaaaase :)

CD Projekt, hello? Can we get the FOV slider, please? Come on, it's a PC game first and 60 FOV is very un-PC. I mean it's really bad in general but it makes absolutely no sense on PC.

I know this sounds weird, but have you tried playing the game while wearing sun glasses? Most motion sickness is caused by rapid, arbitrary movements on the periphery of the focal point. Having a visible layer in front of your eyes can create a steady focal depth that simply cancels out the reaction for many. You need shades, though, not vision glasses. Your eye needs to be able to "see" the glass layer.

Obviously, this isn't a solid fix (I imagine the game will look quite odd...especially if you wear polarized lenses!), but it might be cool to test it out and see if it helps you.

+1; another voice to the chorus.

Even though it's 3rd person, the field of view is slightly too narrow in regular mode (and far too narrow in witcher mode).
The lack of situational awareness this causes is uncomfortable and disorienting.

It should be such a trivial thing to add, and wouldn't need exhaustive testing as cut scenes could continue using the defaults.
