Fire signet ring glitch?

somebody please help! i know this may seem really stupid but i just got the game and started playing it. i just got the fire signet ring from the reverend,now when i goto the 3 guys to gain their trust,obviously u need to show them the ring...but the game wont allow me to wear the ring,i try double clicking it,and dragging the ring over to geralts hands in the hero menu and it wont let me put it on him! what do i do?! somebody help quick! please! :dead:

Have to ask a question back that sounds really stupid as well: you say you drag it to "his hands", do you mean any of the ring slots that are right above his hands? Not actually the hands or the trophy slot below?
