This is one of the best RPG's I've ever played on computer. I'd compare it to such greats as Betrayal at Krondor. Great job! Make another. One of the very few cons I had were slow load and save times. The game was surprisingly smooth during actual play though. About the only time my frames dropped were in the big city playing at 1600x1200 on high settings. Turned down to medium and it cleared up. That's understandable though, since my computer was top of the line in 2004. The only thing that's been updated is the video card.I wish there were more mods you could do to your weapons and armor such as: embedding gems in swords, more runes, more material types (copper, bronze, iron, steel, adamantite, mithral), armor fashioned from rare hides, more abundance of different mods, appearance options (katana, scimitar, long sword, handle types, etc.), in general more customizable options. It was refreshing to find how your choices actually affect the game, not like in most games where no matter what you choose it doesn't really matter, it seems the same in the end. I wish the later acts were longer so I could enjoy being a seasoned witcher longer with my uber armor and sword. Combat is always fun; more signs like ice and lightning, flaming globe shield, and summons would be welcome. I played through as a combat specialist with my stats(str, dex, stamina) maxed by the end. I will try with a sign specialist now on hard. There are not many games I would play twice, but this one is worth it. A few more thoughts: a good mix of subtle humor and seriousness, excellent music(browsing the music files I found some of my favorites: amb outdoor dng 2), mostly good voice acting, amazing animations, screen changes when drunk, intoxicated, etc. It's this kind of attention to detail that impresses me. Some of the better actors were Geralt (the best), Grandma lol, Carmen, Grand Master of the Order, Zoltan, Shani, Lady of the Lake, Yaevinn, Vesemir, Azar, Abigail. These ones really fit their characters well, with that subtle realistic touch that causes you to suspend your disbelief. The only part of the game where I found tedious was the inventory. Sorting can be a drag since ingredients tend to look like potions. Some auto sort options and more space for organizing would be helpful. You hit auto sort and things separate by their item type. All potions go to the top, all ingredients next, miscellaneous below(such as flint, clothes, etc. What I did was separate the different item types into separate boxes and try to stick with that. I'd prefer if when I picked up something it would get auto sorted into a predesignated inventory box. For example, I pick up some ingredients, they go into box 2 that was set for it. Also make use of shading the background. All potions for example can have a red background, all ingredients green, all alcohol white, etc.The interruptions with the Striga fight was the only time I got really irritated. It's a tough and immersing fight, and then you get constantly interrupted which throws you off and breaks the immersion. Perhaps, instead of a movie interrupting a few times it does so once, and then the room gets darker as the candles go out and Geralt says "I better hurry if I'm to kill the Striga". Willow doesn't seem to work to stop stun, just knockdown.Besides that it was fun. The best fights were the Striga, tentacle creature, and Azar's pet. Azar's pet is the best, it really shocks you because up to that point there is nothing that comes close to that kind of speed and deadliness. I really had to focus and give it all I had to win on my first try. I almost died, then used wind on it till I bought myself time to get back my vitality. I used up a lot of potions and came close to death many times though. It's one of those fights where it makes you think of everything you can do to win; it's the best boss fight in the game in my opinion. The rest were too easy or too similar to something else in the game, no shock. For example the master of the hunt was too easy, so was the master of the order, and Azar. Azar was all hype in the end. Maybe I got lucky and I didn't let Azar cast any spells, but he was dead in like 30 seconds or less. lol I guess after fighting his pet I was pumped and ready for anything. The beast fight was hard for me since I hadn't mastered the combat yet and made some bad choices for talents. It really forces you to learn quickly. If the load times weren't so long I wouldn't have minded. It was frustrating with the long load times I have.During the battle in the burning city, I spent a lot of time fighting the soldiers, that was great. I think I did that for at least 20 minutes. But during that fight, I realized that if the soldiers run off and fight someone else, there is a targeting issue with Geralt. For example, I click to attack the soldier, I'm either too close or the soldier is in transit to attack Zoltan and my click doesn't register; so I'm sitting there doing nothing when I was supposed to be attacking. It seemed like at least a third of attempts ended up like this. Well, that's the truth and nothing but the truth. I love this game despite its flaws, because it is original, creative, not afraid to be mature, and fun. I hope you guys make another.
