First negative impressions. SPOILER FREE

1. No native 21:9 support for cinematics.
2. No separate slider for battle and ambient music (I played TW2 pretty much without music because I couldn't stand the obnoxious loud battle music - a problem that didn't exist in TW1)
3. Can't look all the way down and all the way up
4. A superclocked GTX 980, 16GB RAM and 4 Ghz i-7 processor aren't enough to run the game on ultra in the 21:9 mode.
5. No permadeath after all :(

Other than that, so far everything looks and feel perfect

I just took a quick look. The AA isnt good. On max settings there are still stairs. I hope they will add more options.

On ps4 the camera sticks when panning in the very first part, not sure what it is but it's pretty annoying

They really need to improve the m/k controls, because playing with it is really painfull.
The bigger problem is that there's no differences between in combat keys and non combat keys. So, to put the strong attack on Right Mouse, you have to find another key for Witcher senses.

Panning the camera round, it's constantly sticking, first impressions of the game are great, but it runs like shit on ps4 rite from the start, it's not smooth like at all when panning camera

I agree that the controls and camera movement could use some tweaking. Not the worst I've seen, but not great.

Plus I feel like some FOV control would be nice. Sometimes I get that walking through a tunnel/horse blinders feeling, like the FOV is locked on console settings. Again, it's not terrible, but it feels a little off to me.

The controls are pretty annoying for mouse and keyboard. I am going to see if my gamepad works. Probably not, since they did not work with witcher 2. Witcher 2 only accepts xinput so why would witcher 3 be any different.

after trying for 30 minutes i give up (i just dont like it) on kb/mouse play with a control its the only way to enjoy the game

Terrible, TERRIBLE title.

Nice conclusion.

My mouse/KB controls are fine - make sure you activate HArdware Cursor in Video options.

I've tried both KB/M and control pad. Control pad plays very well. KB/M, however feel better to me. And as Sard said activate the hardware cursor in video options.

The real problem with m/k in combat is that to directing a dodge, you can use only WASD, just 1:1 with console scheme. the problem is...while with the left stick on console you have a 360° control, you are limited in 8 direction with WASD. In The Witcher 2 using m/k in combat was good because roll direction was controlled by mouse.
This, and the fact that there is no distinction in "key rebinding" between in combat controls and out of combat controls, are the biggest issues.

This really needs some extra work.

Sadly it is, because it is pratically a 1:1 port in terms of controls.
I really enjoy using m/k to walk and explore, it feels better to me, but in combat is...well, it's not good, sadly.

To navigate through menu and to walk/explore, mouse/keyboard is better, in my opinion.
But there are a lot of flaws with m/k in combat.

Usually play with a programmed (Xpadder) 360 pad, but the devs did such a good job with the game pad controls I don't I don't feel the need.to change it.

Does anyone know if ps4 version is locked at 30 fps, that could be the reason for Jerky movement, it's should always be locked, I might try deleting the patch, then not connect to Internet, see if it's still Jerky, it's unplayable for me as I constantly like to pan the camera, taking I the details, disappointment big time

Ummmmmmm..... I have to mouse over each. and. every. item. in my inventory to see the info pop-up so I can see their NAMES and details?

Rows and rows of items in the inventory, and going over them with arrows does nothing, doesn't even show their names. Am I really expected to keep moving the mouse cursor half a centimeter over and over from item to item to read their names?

As of now K/M seems to be the worst i 've seen in a game since Dark Souls 1. Does anybody know for starters, if i cana bound say strong attack on double left click. Or for sprinting to just hold down space. Things like that.

yeah I agree. I think you can rebind keys. But then problems arise by doing so. I spent the last 1,5 hours to configure x360ce to make my gamepad work as a 360 one, since, just like in the witcher 2, they don't detect directinput controllers. DESPITE me complaining about this at the launch of The Witcher 2 in may 2011. <.<

I dunno what you guys are talking about, I'm usually very anal about good MKB controls and yet I'm not having any problems with W3, not in combat or during exploration.
The mouse camera can *sometimes* feel unsmooth or abrupt when looking around, but otherwise I've been dodging/attacking in combat with precision and the walking/sprinting feels very tight and responsive. MKB's going great so far, sucks that you're not having the same experience =[

My only real problem is having to mouse over every little item icon in the inventory to know what it is, there's no built-in part of the screen that shows the selected item's name and details, you have to mouse over it for a freaking POP-UP.
