Fistfight problem

Geralt level 21, fistfight opponend level 14. Bets are placed and we begin. First punch brings Geralt to 40% life. He lands a few punhces and gets another punch. Match over. Is this how it is supposed to work? My earlier fist fights were much easier a week ago (had the difficulty lower than DeathMatch though). I wander if others have the same issu after the latest patch or two.

I always dodge the first punch, just gotta be ready for it.

Then all you do is counter, throw 1 or 2 strong punches rinse & repeat.

im doing one now where im fighting 2 guys in a small room on deathmarch its tough cuz when i block one guy the other one hits me before i can block again.

Edit: ooohh i had them both at half. backing myself up in a corner and just holding block until one backs away seems to be working.

i found fist fighting to be extremely boring ... block -> 1-2 fast hits -> repeat ... works für 90% of opponents, for the rest its: block -> 1-2 fast hits -> dodge -> repeat xD

not matter what level you and they are, as long as its one enemy its just faceroll, when its two, just block both, hit second target once, repeat, try to not stand so that both can hit you at the same time... takes like 10% more effort than 1v1 fights but take a bit longer

Often you can just hammer strong attack and they'll block at first but then their stamina will go, at least on the 2nd hardest difficulty.

The point is you have to dodge the first opponet's attack right after begining.
The rest is no problem.
I did all fist fithings on 15 lvl.
