Focus in combat and why they should have implomented it

I was looking at the Leaks back at 2014 of the witcher 3 and they where going to imploment a focus system that used focus points in combat and hit monsters in their weak spots like fallout vats you could cut a manticores poison glands or a grave hags tongue and more monsters in their weak spots and im here thinking why they took some monsters from the final game and this awesome mechanic too so please if you make another witcher game use the focus mechanic in it

but that is in.. you can kill Goliath with a crossbow bolt hitting his only eye... you can cut off the tongue from Gravehag etc...

A more detailed description of the system can be found at TCRF, as well as the probable reasons why it was cut:
A combat focus mode was being developed that would have allowed players to target and attack specific enemy body parts while in slow motion. This would have incorporated a special GUI, as well as both a quick target and a detailed target mode, each with unique UI. In addition, players would be able to identify visible vital spots on each entity, which would feature an attack cost and effect. It was even possible for items to be vital spots. However, the document indicated that the developers were having trouble with this gameplay mechanic, encountering problems with choosing the right animation for the blow, the direction of the attack, and the position of the vital spot, as well as possessing only a simple prototype of the two target modes.

However, some of the deleted monsters actually appeared in Blood and Wine.

Well theres a game called Surge that does that. It a good idea but in the end of the day Surge combat is still a dull and boring. Witcher 3 combat is also dull, clunky and boring. CDPR should just try to copy Bloodborne or Nioh combat for Witcher 4 imo. Dragons Dogma is also a good system to look at as well.

i didnt find the combat of the witcher boring it had more things into its combat than most rpgs that get released today especially if you mixed it up potions, bombs etc

They could have added more depth to the combat instead of expanding the map and investing resources on sidequests. Adding more animations, combat finishers, different combos, grappling throwing knives and the most important: different animations for different weapons. You cant use the same techniques with a sword like with the axe ffs.
