Foliage/Trees disappearing before I've completed walked past them; FOV bug?

I notice that when I walk or ride the horse as I pass an artifact like a tree, it seems to fade out before I've completely walked past it. The tree should disappear when it is no longer in the FOV, not when it is slightly behind you but you should still be able to see it on the screen. If it was first person view that would make more sense. I have a Titan X on the latest drivers.

If an object is large enough, it begins to fade once it passes Geralt's position in the game world. It's just to ensure your view isn't blocked by anything. It might be a little too sensitive as it is now.

I think it is a bit too sensitive as I've never noticed this as much in other similar games as much as I notice it in this one. I find it distracting.
