This thread is a running list of bugs that need to be fixed and quality-of-life suggestions that I have come up with for the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077, intended for the developer's eyes.
Bugs
• The game still runs after being properly closed, even after the PC running it goes in and out of sleep mode. The user has to close it via task manager to stop it from running. Steam also considers it to be running during this time.
• Ray-Tracing is enabled by default on non-RTX PC's.
• During the mission Ghost Town, the player is forced to sit inside Panam's character model while driving trhough the tunnel, if the player dies and the checkpoint is initiated.
• When comparing weapons in the inventory, the game sometimes thinks a previously equipped weapon is the currently equipped weapon, after the weapon has already been switched. Exiting and reentering the inventory screen seems to be a temporary fix.
• Vehicles sometimes get stuck in mid-air, seems to happen more often in the desert area.
• When using mouse and keyboard in the character creator, the menu will scroll all the way up or down on it's own, while cycling through options.
• Putting a silencer on the Liberty handgun, deforms the gun model.
• Menus, Braindance, and some in game overlays appear broken in any resolution over 4096x768.
• Props being used or carried by NPCs sometimes disappear when you bump into them, however their animations continue.
• NPCs and vehicles both sometimes spawn/despawn in view.
• NPCs don't always move lips while talking, both in and out of cutscenes.
• NPCs animations slow to update. For instance, an NPC was seen in the sitting animation while also walking about.
• NPCs in vehicles sometimes get stuck or park themselves in the street or an intersection for no apparent reason.
• NPCs sometimes levitate when standing on stairs or other elevated surfaces.
• NPCs sometimes clip through the ground/floor when crouching.
• NPCs sometimes perform animations without props (i.e. sitting without a chair, leaning without a wall, etc.).
• NPCs often clip through and get stuck in the geometry of object models when falling or getting launched by force. For instance, there were many times where I shot NPCs with a shotgun and they would get pushed halfway into a wall or box and remain stuck, usually after they die.
• NPC enemies that are killed sometimes are considered still alive, even though they do not move at all. They cannot be looted in this state.
• NPC dialogue still plays when game is paused with the escape menu up.
• Gameplay sometimes freezes after closing the text box for the pieces of lore found in the world. This is resolved by pausing and unpausing the game with the main escape menu.
• Sometimes there are no gun sounds in car chases.
• V sometimes does not crouch or stand while walking/running.
• In the inventory screen, the first weapon slot and the head gear slot both have a 'New' marker indefinitely, even when all new items have been viewed.
• Both free and scripted vehicles often teleport, warp and turn on 90 degree angles, both during gameplay and during cutscenes.
• If a vehicle is parked on top of an object, such as a raised concrete ramp and left there, the player will find the vehicle inside said object upon returning to the vehicle. The game will also let the player enter the vehicle in this state and will be seated during the time the object collision either forces the vehicle out or damages the vehicle indefinitely.
• The stealth-grabbing mechanic sometimes becomes unavailable to you, during missions as well.
• A bug can happen where you and all enemy NPCs will perpetually be in combat mode, but said NPCs will treat you as invisible.
• V's shadow sometimes does not animate as it should and sometimes does not show at all.
• Can have multiple phone calls at the same time.
• When using an in-game computer, it sometimes looks low quality so you can't read what iss on the screen.
• After exiting scan mode while also holding crouch, the player will no longer be crouching.
• Some clouds do not render properly, appearing as if they were sliced with each part moving at different speeds.
• The default view crosshair will sometimes appear when aiming via ads.
• Some character model polygons will sometimes flicker at a high frequency, usually on the neck area.
• This may not be exclusive to blades, but all blades in my friend's inventory were shown with 0.0 DPS, until the game file was reloaded.
• Many players experiencing issues with their game not launching, even after the first hotfix patch.
• Getting on a bike sometimes opens the stash instead.
• Vehicles sometimes have their handbrakes on; stuck/can't drive or steer.
• Built-in framerate limiter sometimes does not work. As of now we have to use third party applications to cap it at a value.
• In V's apartment, the mirror will glitch (rapidly flicker and change sizes) in the Twitch stream output using OBS. When this happens, the mirror appears and behaves normally in-game.
• Guns said to have disappeared from the inventory, even if you equip it before entering the car with Jackie, during the Rescue mission.
• Re-equipping clothing/armor that a mission had unequipped from you does not show on the character and also removes hair/genitalia if it is headwear/pants.
• Changing resolutions sometimes makes the HUD not scale properly with the chosen resolution.
• During the Main Job 'Life During Wartime,' if you pick up and drop the pilot after Panam shooting him, all his limbs fold into his body and also levitates.
• Humanoid enemies and enemy turrets sometime turn invisible, but still can be shot in this state.
• Items sometimes stay displayed in the inventory after dismantling them, until the inventory screen is closed and then reopened.
• Gun descriptions from the Inventory screen sometimes get stuck on the screen in-game. The game must be reloaded in order to get rid of it.
• When looking at dead or unconscious bodies, a previously looted item often briefly appears.
• Upon death on super-ultrawide, the screen turns to 16:9 letterbox cutout image until you change a graphical quality setting.
• Some users report having the sprint function disabled until reloading the game, after using a melee weapon(s) multiple times.
• Right-clicking an icon in the map does not always set it as a way-point. Leaving the menus and coming back to the map appears to be a temporary fix.
• The 'Reinforced Composite-Lined Rocker Foldtop' outer torso gear does not display properly at the legs (confirmed for female V, unconfirmed for male V).
• While on the fast travel station map, a click intended just to drag the map, instantly selects the location clicked, even if the mouse button hasn't been released.
• Some weapons' HUD reticle stay visible while aiming with weapon's sight and is also not centered, leading to missed shots.
• Gun descriptions do not always scale/display properly in the inventory screen on 1920x1080.
• When disabling security turrets with laser sights, the lasers may stay visible and static once the turret retracts.
• Some props NPCs use, such as food or phones, get stuck in the air.
• In Damion's cab garage, the player can climb a ladder at the top of the ladder when the ladder hatch is shut, which results in V being positioned in the air without the ability to move until V dismounts the ladder.
• Changing voice, text or subtitle language to any other than the one configured in the Galaxy launcher will only make the change temporarily. (After closing the game and opening it again, the changes are rolled back).
• If a burning barrel is knocked down or destroyed, the fire stays in place, suspended in air.
• Sometimes if the player loads a dead/unconscious body in the trunk of a van, the body appears to be levitating on the outside of the van.
• The conversation V has with Daemon loops after asking if Daemon values beauty. (Not sure if this was intentional).
• In the "Employee Evaluation" message found in the beginning of the Corpo prologue when you visit V's computer, the message misgenders V by using multiple, inconsistent pronouns.
• Numerous typos in the menus.
Suggestions
• Allow for enabling Raw Mouse Input. This will make gunplay feel better and tighter, as it currently feels bad. Mouse smoothing/acceleration is not liked by many.
• Add performance metrics options in-game.
• Less confusing HDR calibration. (The "set this option until the logo is barely visible" has always seemed like the best calibration).
• Add more intuitive controls for dialog options and menus. Using W and S to cycle through dialogue options instead of only the mouse will be more intuitive. Using the mouse's right-click to exit out of menus instead of only the Escape button will also be more intuitive.
• When a menu option or setting has a slider-type interface, we should be able to actually slide it left and right with the mouse, instead of having to click the arrows multiple times.
• Re-mappable, single-key bindings for dodge.
• Allow for additional FOV values.
• More visual feedback for being damaged.
• Removal of food vendor icons on the map. (These icons make the map unnecessarily cluttered, as there is no hunger meter and food is abundant whilst looting).
• Allow for custom anti-aliasing options.
• Allow for automatic skip of intro movies that show after the game is initially launched.
• Make the police chase you realistically, rather than having them teleport. This was not listed as a bug, as I feel this was intentional.
• A warning or confirmation pop-up when you're about to destroy unique/iconic items.
• Unique/iconic Item schematics should dissapear from the crafting menu once the item is destroyed/sold or its legendary tier has been already crafted.
