Aah. I see. They wanted it to be some kind of information portal rather than a place where people share ideas. Sad. Very little hope for smileys then....
Yeah. I wish for smileys too. But it's also true that many people abuse smileys and sometimes entire posts consist of dumb smileys. It's because of them we don't have smileys. But I still want them. I want them. I want them. *Waaah*Yeah I noticed the terms. I just think it's odd that we cannot use terms like c*ockatrice because it contains "c*ock". I once said "Don't go into the battle half-c*ocked", and it got censored. I mean, that's a little sad, is all....Tommy said:But i think that that the forum can be an information portal WITH smileysI also noticed in one of your posts you stated that your post was censored . For the most part have a look at the terms of use located on the main page very bottom on the right side
Actually it’s because whoever made that decision seems to be a prick who thinks that he knows better than us.Vilgefortze said:It's because of them we don't have smileys.
Indeed, it’s an outright ... cockblockVilgefortze said:Yeah I noticed the terms. I just think it's odd that we cannot use terms like c*ockatrice because it contains "c*ock". I once said "Don't go into the battle half-c*ocked", and it got censored. I mean, that's a little sad, is all....
I think the excitement over TW2 is a good thing. In normal times, it's not a good idea to make a new thread for stuff that's covered in another thread or to say the same thing many times, but CDPR is TRYING to whip up excitement, and I think what you're seeing in the forum is the natural result of that excitement.Personally, I'm answering questions even if I just answered the same question in another thread two minutes ago. I WANT people to be too excited about TW2 to practice good forum hygiene.Netopier said:I went on forum on Nov. 18, and either because of new members, or because of everyone's excitement, the one of the most important principles of this forum has been abandoned: Don't make new threads if there already is one+don't post something a hundred times. I see a lot of preorder/system requirements/..... threads, and same people posting the same stuff everywhere (seasmugod as an example). I suggest it's time for moderators to do their jobs, or straightforwardly tell me that it is okay.
Um..are you telling me this is the first time you saw this happen? You cannot expect the same level of maturity from everyone. Some people just like to be heard distinct and apart, though they might not have anything new to say. If you don't want to listen to them, don't. Just don't open the posts. Eventually they'll sink into the abyss of oblivion. Surely this is not an issue.....Netopier said:Don't want to rant, but this Monday came and gone and while the activity is down a bit, I see no change in behavior whatsoever. I guess I said my point, so I'm not wasting any more space.
It's definitely not the first time I saw this happen. Although what you offer is a good and sound fix of problem, I rather preferred before. What I disagree with you on, is that I should just forget about it. 1). I lost no more than 5 minutes stating my point.2). My issue is with moderators who keep silent about it. It's their job to do it, and I just don't understand them.PeaceVilgefortze said:Um..are you telling me this is the first time you saw this happen? Most impressive.Vilgefortze said:Gather 'round children. Let me tell you a story. There was once a Witcher Forum, wild, untamed, untouched. Slowly, with the march of civilization, sentient beings settled, and worked hard to tame the land. And then, there were conflicts. The ultimate destiny of any society.Fire and steel clashed and nourished the soil with bones, and colored the rivers with blood. But there was always the fear of Mods that brought some semblance of reason. Most Mods left mortals to themselves. But there was one Mod, Seeker, whose avatar often brought Modly vengeance to the evil. It was primarily His fear that kept all conflicts within bounds.Good cannot exist without evil. Mods cannot exist without Demut. A being of immense power, Demut's power was fed by the flux of chaos of human bloodshed and conflict. He reveled in human misery and thirsted for more. Often he stalked burnt homesteads and festering battlefields to feast on the unfortunate souls of the fallen. A great mage, Vilgefortze, powerful, but of a fiery temperament fueled the fires of many such wars. Many believed his powers were of a Demutic origin, that he willingly served the Dark One. The truth was never really known. After a lifetime of conflict , when he finally died, it is said he showed no remorse, for he had done it all in good faith, and not to serve the Demut. Though possibly pure at heart, his actions nonetheless served Demut's cause, for mere mortals are often only tools in the hands of greater beings of Celestial or Infernal origin.
