The crazy part is that in 50 years when the game is actually nearing completion, the new people we'll get will be on-topic and boring, and we'll lament how the forum has ceased to be fun anymore. WE USED TO SPAM IMAGES AND DERAIL TOPICS AROUND HERE, we'll say.The whole board seems like that. When ever it's not abandoned, that is.
If it makes you feel any better, your "thanks"es are probably still intact.WTF happened to my profile pic, achievements, posts and most importantly, MY PRECIOUS RED POINTS!!!!
at that time we guys who have been here from the start will be totally crazyThe crazy part is that in 50 years when the game is actually nearing completion,
It's amazing how life works. The crazy part is that in 50 years when the game is actually nearing completion, the new people we'll get will be on-topic and boring, and we'll lament how the forum has ceased to be fun anymore. WE USED TO SPAM IMAGES AND DERAIL TOPICS AROUND HERE, we'll say.
Then some moderator who was leeched from my friend list will ban us for being insufferable old-timers.

Holy mother of....
2065, eh?The crazy part is that in 50 years when the game is actually nearing completion
Different companies, different business models.Yep, I'm wondering as well why CDP is ignoring Cyberpunk completely. To be honest, I think it's a bad sign: They probably just couldn't handle those two projects. I don't think CP77 progressed much in the last 2 years. No one can tell me this complete absence of information was planned all along, right? It's not even very smart: Who, except us diehards, actually still cares about the game anymore? They didn't took advantage of the hype and let it die instead ...
YEah, I think that's been mentioned as the plan. Focus on W3, then swap focus to CP.My hope (lel, hoping at all) is that after W3 is out the door, a large chunk of the devs are transfered to 2077, while a small group of 50 or so hangs back to iron out bugs and develop DLC/expansions for Witcher 3.

I mean, look at Bioware: When Dragon Age: Inquisition was still in development, they clearly focused on that one, while still making it very clear, that Mass Effect is "alive": They teased it at E3, showed artworks later etc. This was a great way of not taking away the attention from their other game, while still giving some information to the fans and keeping the game in peoples minds.
Well, but it seems like TW3 is going to sell very good, so ... maybe they actually start working on Cyberpunk soon! ;-)
:look:
How big is CP2077 team?(...) some artists in the studio are better at creating firearms, while some are better at swords. That defines whether they are working on the Witcher core team or the Cyberpunk core team. Other artists, such as lighting experts, are working across both projects.
Team working on game is quite diverse:(...)"it is changing,” according to Platkow-Gilewski. “There were probably around 50 people, 60 people, but then a lot of people came to work on Cyberpunk, but they are, like, for two projects [Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3].”
One year from now devs will be able to talk about the game.(...)"The Cyberpunk team is truly international and right now in the company we have people from more than 20 countries, probably. The last time I checked there was 19, but since then a lot of new people have moved in.”
I asked one last time if he’d share some more about the mysterious Cyberpunk project: “One day I will. In one year we can meet and talk about that.”
Style of the trailer is very static due to the lack of time and human resources."Yes, we needed people for Cyberpunk,” said Platkow-Gilewski. “I think that was the best recruitment announcement you can possibly imagine — and one of the most expensive as well. It worked, yeah.
There was no game assets at the time, so artstyle was based on drawings from PnP.“We had an extremely talented guy working on it: Maciej Jackiewicz,” said marketing manager Olga Cyganiak. “Because Tomac [Bagiński] was the director, but then he was also involved in another project for The Witcher, and that was going at the same time. Actually, almost one guy created all of it. That’s why there’s no animation. It’s very static because he had no more hands.”
Because of the overwhelmingly positive reaction trailer kinda set tone for game styleCD Projekt Red had no game assets to work from, just a concept. “They had only the sketches from the [pen-and-paper] role-playing games and nothing else,” said Cyganiak, “so we had to create the world. It’s from the ’90s, right, the game and we had to put it like — you have to have this ’90s feel, but then it has to be futuristic.”
Lady from the CGI will not be featured in the game.“That was the problem,” said Cyganiak. “We’ve created something and they used it actually for raising money for the project and for hiring people. That was the purpose of it — to make people interested in it.”
“That was an awfully big risk that CD Projekt took,” said Cyganiak. “They asked us for a cinematic with no visual references for the game. In my opinion, they have to match a bit the cinematic.”
They said that the woman won’t be in the game,” said Cyganiak. “That’s only for the cinematic.”
Thanks for the work, but actually I've been well informed alreadynars had posted this interview a while ago, i am sure it will help you to understand the situation better
Basically accurate. I mean, hang around and make friends, chat Cyberpunk in the World, speculate on game idea and PnP conversions, post cool artwork and music and talk about it, start amusing forum games, plan Redge's horrible death, (apparently he actually survived!), enjoy the laxity of a pre-pre-pre release forum that CDPR has set up for your convenience, but other than those things, just wait.No news for you,you come back next year!
dont forget CD is still in a early testing phase, with a lot of experimenting of new gameplay mechanics......so always feel free to post exciting ideas which should be in the game, CD always reads our posts.....so maybe theyNo news for you,you come back next year!
