FPS drops when using crossbow or grenades

Title. I run the game pretty smoothly, 60 FPS on Ultra and such, but when using these two items I get some FPS drops.
I have a GTX 970, 8GB RAM and an i5 3570, so I don't think that's the problem.

Any ideas? Thank you!

Do you have HairWorks enabled? Could be related to the zoom when using those two items if you do.

Is it an actual drop in the FPS count, or is it simply the slow-motion sequence while aiming?

I have an FPS counter and it drops quite a bit...
