Fps?

I just bought W3 today and set all graphical settings to medium. My FPS seems to be inconsistent and feels kinda sluggish. It ranges from 40-45 usually with drops down to 28 (especially during cutscenes). Is this common? Here's my computer specs. Maybe my CPU is too outdated?

Intel i5-3550 @ 3.3ghz 4 thread 4 core (3rd-gen)
OC GTX 770
WD 7200 rpm 1 TB HDD

Some people have had some success with just an i3 you dont really need a good cpu as far as i know, try have a read of this; Do you have hairworks on? that is the real fps killer. I get around 35-50 hairworks off with a 960/4460 on high.

Should not be a CPU issue because TW3 is not really CPU intensive. A GTX 770 should get at least 50fps if settings are on medium though.

Have you updated to the latest driver? I heard that Kepler GPU had some problems with TW3. nVidia said that they will look into it.

put nvidia hairworks to off and Foliage Visibility Range to high and not ultra (or something like that). I have GTX 970 and get constant 60 with those settings.

This. I tryed the game on a PC with an i3 CPU, and a GTS 450, got 30-35 FPS on medium-to low settings.

I too suggest, trying to update your driver, if you don't have the latest one yet. That was the first thing I did before starting the game. Or you could try tweaking some settings in your Nvidia control panel, a 770 should be able to handle this game.

30-35 fps on a gts 450 ? did you overclock it ? I'm playing it on an overclocked gtx 460m( 840 core/1620 mem) and sometimes my fps drops to like 25-26.
