FREE DLC and EXPANSION PACK ideas for devs to ponder :)

+
Expanded animations DLC. IE bring back sword oil animations or at the very least the drinking for potions.
Or perhaps something fun related like goofy mini games or quests or perhaps bringing back some characters (unlikely).

Anyway, they probably already have all these all planned out at this stage I would expect.

Swimming horses DLC. Please do it.

On horse combat while swimming would make dealing with those pesky Ekhidnas a breeze. But if you cant finish them quick enough your horse gets scared and bucks you off, you now have to swim to that island in the distance with only a crossbow to defend yourself.

Yeah, a physical animation that changes Geralts appearance when taking some potions would be cool, if it was fast like 2 to 3 or 4 seconds tops from the push of the button. Oil animations would be cool too and being able to sit down at a campfire or bar/table in the taverns would be really nice!

Fans have been asking for visible effects of drinking potion for a long time, and I'm not sure why CDPR has not responded.
The idea came from CDPR themselves, since it was in the Witcher 1 opening.

So badass

a series of quests in brokilon would be interesting... in the spirit of other large DLCs from other games in which some extra region is added only for the purpose of a largeish quest and a few smaller ones. either that, or Cintra, but tbh i think brokilon is much more different from the other regions already existing (i.e. Cintra would be too similar to no man's land/nilfgaardian Vizima to be super interesting.)

Would really love to see Brokilon. Ciri has not seen Eithné since she was a little kid so I think that reunion would be interesting. The place is supposed to be extremely dangerous so it could be really difficult area for people who are not comfortable with the combat. The story for it could be involving humans trying to push themselves further in due to the war and Geralt and Ciri would be caught in the middle of the rapidly growing tension.

Well, if they don't draw out the animation to long and just gauge it to the equivalent of a fast shot of whiskey or tequila then it might work.
Take shot, change. Maybe it's sounds better on paper and sucks in motion.
It would be really neat to see some of the things they scraped, just because it sucked in game.
My wish is... that CDPR will indeed share some of these hidden glory files with all the world in some blu-ray making of TW3.
X rated, stupid funny ass shit hahaha... No shame CDPR Team, show us the funnies too please!!! Blu-ray from your website after launch $30 bucks easy!
You know you want it, so they might as well prepare to be the first to do this for the diehard core fanbase ;)
Vote for this fans, you know you want it ;)

I think that those of you wanting brand new locations to visit are probably thinking beyond the scope of these DLC. The impression Ive gotten is that they are meant to be small additions, not entirely new zones with quest chains.

Its hard to say what Id want without seeing what is in the game. However, I would like a new arena mode.

Well I did tell folks to specify for paid or free dlc with their ideas if it calls for it, I love some of the ideas that pop up. It's kinda like the wishlist but not ;)

I agree, but we can hope.

Slightly off topic, because I can't really see it as a DLC per say, but I was always a fan of the idea of having a terrible negative to a witcher's charisma if they're on potions. Would make you change your approach when socialising with the general populace ("what a scary fucker!"). But this isn't really a pen and paper RPG. Also, seeing as we don't have drinking animations, I doubt we'd get a visual change in Geralt's appearance.

4) pc ui like this posted on forum
That would be an excellent idea. The only issue I can see is that people would see that as a patch rather than a DLC and probably cry-- and that wouldn't 'be available for XB1/PS4', now would it? I'm pretty sure they're all supposed to be available for all the platforms :|
But personally, I'd be overjoyed with a proper keyboard and mouse UI/control scheme if they didn't get to implement this sort of stuff in the final product. Probs wait for mods tho.

1) Some epic weapons and armor quest line which involve solving some mysteries and a lot of exploration (Those always sound interesting to me).

2) Attachments for Crossbow (poison bolts, fire bolts etc).

3) Some quest DLC that involves working with a companion due to their expertise (Triss or Yennefer perhaps), I remember the investigation of Kraken with Triss. Very enjoyable conversations though Triss's involvement was quite limited.

4) I don't know if Letho is present in TW3, he's not mentioned anywhere so a story DLC related to some encounters with old characters like Letho, Iorveth, Roach (the man lol) or Saskia will be great (Implying they are not present in the game, I hope they are).

5) A DLC involving a hot witch or succubus with Geralt's wolfy attitude, call me pervert :p

Is it just me or are those ingredient selling lady herbalists insanely hot? Definetly a guest involving "interaction" with them.. Do I need to tone down my perving again... Anezka from TW2

1) Brokilon DLC! Geralt goes to dryad forest and unlocks it as a region with tons of sidequests and one main quest where Geralt visits Eithne with questions about Ciri, Fate, and Sword of Destiny. So Essentially same kind of expansion to the game as say, Dragonborn DLC to Skyrim for example. I enjoy those kinds of dlcs the best that introduce new areas, but are still connected to the main plot on some level. That feel like meaningful to do even in the middle of saving the world or something.

2) Ciri DLC! More unseen adventures of Ciri where we play as her when she escapes the Wild Hunt and travels to different worlds and times. Gives her as well as Geralt some RPG elements more, like changeble equipment and choices to make in quests. Also make that ice skating happen that was forced to cut, but still developed quite a long way.

These two things CD Project I would happily get from you even if they would be behind paywall upon release

Wouldn't mind a DLC that gives us some more quests and time to hang out with our good friends from TW1 & TW2 that will probably only make cameos in TW3.

Btw this is the difference of dev's approach to DLC. We usually get frustrated from repetitive small pieces of (should I say milking) DLCs but here we are giving ideas to dev about DLCs. CDPR sure is making a difference :)
