I'm sure, this bug was patched.
In 1.22, i kill some maelstomers nearby with shotgun and Max stay in his room (NCPD Event, right in front of the front door).
But if in your save, Max is already dead...
A couple of patches ago, they made that, even if we killed Max, if you get to his office at the end he stays standing, and you can do the mission and take him to the car trunk, but it doesn't help, because when you go into the door, the mission is already failed. And I am asking CDProjeck to please fix this, to don't show mission failed when you go into the door and then be able to complete the mission.
