Freezing winter in Skellige

Not is perfect, but I did just to get a feel for how Skellige would be covered in snow ...
Of course it needs some tweaking here and there, fixes flaws in some textures, but it's functional;
I thought of including in an optional version of Lighting Deluxe 3.1.1, but I still do not know ...
I also need to increase the amount of snow particles


 
It's slowly taking shape ...
The mod will soon be released for download, but will not be compatible with other lighting mods, even if it's something just for Skellige, you'll have to do this manually using the right tools

 

• Textures in 4K (Skyrim withdrawals and edited for TW3) were all improved
• New grass model (Files never used by CDPR)
• Skellige horses edited for the snow environment (Optional)
• Intense snow with higher particle quality
• New Cutscene model created only for Skellige

Looks nice. I wish dynamic decals weren't so buggy. I actually made snow particles leave blobs of snow once they reach the ground, but as I said, it was buggy.

For a better experience, I simply disabled the vignette.
I also made some color adjustments by removing the bluish tint

• Amount of particles increased further

• New balance map was created for the adaptation of the
environment using Photoshop and HxD

• New grass model (Files never used by CDPR)

• Skellige horses edited for the snow environment (Optional)

• New Cutscene model created only for Skellige

I wonder if it is possible to force these textures to be activated after the second visit to Skellige or every second for example? Something like this.

Best to PM bc I rarely visit Discord. It's very simple. You just add and customize decal chunks to blizzard and snow w2p files like you would to any, but you have to understand that snow and rain may be perceived as particles close-up and far-away, they are actually within like 30ft of Geralt. That's where you would get your decals, although there are some w2p files for distant FX. In the end it ended up very resource-consuming and I never got it to look good, but maybe you'll succeed where I failed.

Yes, now the weather can change suddenly and generate a very dense fog, thus generating a great snowstorm!

The mod size in the MODS folder is 4GB
For download, it will have 2GB, the textures are high quality and fully rebuilt

A pity that I had to remove certain files from the shaders_directx11 folder
In w2w, it does not work 100%, there will always be remnants of grass here and there...
If there was a way to keep it that way, without affecting other regions... :think:

Snow textures are Skyrim, but have been upgraded and placed in 4K, new normal maps have also been created.



 

It's not 100% yet, but I'll get there, because I'll include it in mod FREEZING WINTER IN SKELLIGE

• New realistic fire adaptation for the big bonfires
• New climates:
- Clean with little wind, snow and fog
- Blizzard # 1
- Blizzard # 2 with lots of wind and lots of snow
• The brightness of the sun, reflects in the snow of the trees, giving the orange / brown coloration
• The fog does not interfere in interiors
• The fog is no longer around Geralt

- Special thanks to MonarchX, because this guy has helped me a lot

Winter mornings :)




• The fire now behaves according to the direction of the wind
• Smoke and sparks added (according to the direction of the wind)
• Texture surrounding the fire has been removed (Watch the first video)

Sorry for the loss of quality

MonarchX has helped me a lot with this mod, I believe that without it, I would not go that far
I still have a lot of things to do, but it will be ready soon. :)

- Increased LOD by MonarchX


 
It looks sick. Great job, I cant wait to try it out. Is there any chance you could share that witcher 2 armor from the last picture?
