Frolicking in the books.

In my quick search I haven't seen this kind of topic, but it really interests me. I've just finished the game and noticed (would be hard not to notice) that there are a lot of chances to spend some quality time with those beautiful virtual ladies. What I'm interested is Geralt in the books a like to the Geralt in game. Do really so many women offer themselves to him and does he really has sex so often. What about other Witchers do they have a lot of women too? Or is just Geralt.

If you pay attention in certain parts of the game, you will find that it's not just him.

Before the age of birth control and antibiotics, women didn't have much chance for risk-free sex. EVERY act of heterosexual sex had the possibility of inducing pregnancy, and diseases that could kill you were nothing to sneeze at, either.Witchers are sterile.Witchers are immune to infection. In our age of condoms and birth control pills, these seem like small things. In the Middle Ages, they would have been huge, huge things. A witcher is pretty much the ONLY man a woman can ever have sex with where she knows that there will be no physical consequences. No pregnancy and no disease -- that's gotta be a serious draw, right there.Superhuman strength and stamina probably don't hurt, either :), and the fact that witchers are always just passing through town means that there won't be any long-term entanglement, but I think the fact that both pregnancy and disease are impossible for witchers has to be an enormous consideration for any women involved.
