From Ofieri's Distant Shores issue

I'm at the area where you acquire the plans for the chest piece, but whenever I open the chest the plans are not there. There are only plans for an alchemy recipe, Superior Beast Oil, and some other odds and ends. Anyone else have issues with this, or find a work around? I can't seem to find anything regarding this specific issue, so I figured I would make a post about it here.

This is a well known bug. I also have this bug on Xbox One. Unfortunately there is no solution or a workaround so far. At least at the both consoles. PC I don't know.

Will it be alright to continue with the current file that is affected by the bug? Say if a fix was rolled out, would my file right before entering the underground cave to retrieve the recipe be fixed by that, or is it too late since the quest parameters were already triggered?

I had continued my game with this save file. I think if you're already affected with that bug it is too late. For a test I restarted HoS with a very old save file and the bug doesn't occur anymore. So I hope that they roll out a fix for those who play with their affected save file. The only thing I haven't done is looting the chest that contains the wrong loot.

I made a suggestion to the support that they make the schemes and the letter as available as they did with the Zoltan Chivay Gwent card. Of course only if all else fails,

I tried going back to an older save, before I even accepted the quest, and the problem still occurs somehow.

Did you start "Enchanting: Quality Has Its Price" at this time? If you do so, could you take up the pickaxe? The support answered me that these both bugs are interrelated.
