From what I have seen so far...

...it seems that TW3 has taken the best aspects from some of the best games out there. The horse riding mechanic and realism from Red Dead and the beautiful environments from Skyrim and put them together. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the way I see it.

Can't wait for this game!

What they say seems very promising ... however so far there has only been advertisement and very, very few "facts". So who knows what we'll end up with?
I trust CDPR so far as that this game will be great, but I try to not let the hype get too much of influence on me - otherwise I'll end up as sad as I ended up with DiabloIII (god... even remembering this makes me soooo sad).

simple: if the'll learn from their past mistakes without making a lot of new ones, the game will rock!

I wouldnt say it took the beautiful enviroments of Skyrim, because the witcher 1 and 2 always looked better than Skyrim at least in art design.

Thats why im liking TW3, it takes the visuals of TW1 and TW2, to the size and amount of Skyrim.

See, I haven't played the last 2 games yet, so I am just pulling from the games I have experienced. From what I have seen, the atmosphere looks amazing, however, I wonder how the actual gameplay will match up to their cut scenes graphics wise, Hopefully with so much detail and poly's, the game won't lag while riding fast on horseback around the trails.

TW2 had incredible graphics and it ran very well, dont worry about it, unless your PC doesnt meet the min specs, wich havent been released yet so... its all good for now :)

Oh, I don't plan on playing this game on PC. I'll be playing it on my PS4. To get a decent gaming computer I'd have to spend more than $3000 plus a new monitor better mouse and keyboard. Since I also use it for 3D modeling and animation, I would have to spend a lot. At the expense of a $400 console and a $70 game, it's a much more worth while investment to go with a console.

No, you don't; the people who have been telling you you need a $3000 computer are ignorant fools.

If you already have a computer that's acceptable for 3D modeling, you're looking at most at an update to a modern GPU, maybe $400 to $700. Maybe another $100 for a power supply.

It's already been figured out that the "should cost" for a new PC equal to the PS4 or Xbone, including a Windows license, is about $500 to $600. For pro modeling and animation, you'll be wanting to spend another $1000 or so, tops.

You don't need a monitor for gaming if you already have a TV that the console can feed. If you need a new monitor for professional use, you should be looking to spend maybe $800, tops. And if you spent $100 on a mouse and keyboard, you spent too much.

I've done my research for what I need for my work and gaming. I'm currently working in a quad core, 8 gig RAM, 64 bit system, which just gets me by for my work. If I want to game on top of that, I would need more to optimize for the best res options for the games. My work station is setup too far from the tv. I do a lot of rendering and use various game engines so my machine struggles. I would want to invest in a 12-16 core system, hardware accelerated/open GL graphics card, better sound card and 5 terabytes of hard drive space for both game data and my projects. The chances of me just playing one game on a machine like that would be slim.

Actually, you wouldn't; you can only play one game at a time. No present game needs more than 4 cores or 8GB RAM, and none of the next generation is likely to, either. Unless you need to do stuff like run virtual machines, rendering, or video conversion in the background while you play, 8-bogocore CPUs and 16 GB RAM are already in the realm of diminishing returns. RAID-grade disks are no more than $100 a terabyte.

Don't get tricked into believing that gaming requirements are on top of your other requirements. They are less.

Then how come whenever I try to play World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Warcraft on the highest graphics settings, the game lags like an unplayable piece of crap?

Probably something to do with your configuration is interfering. Or you have an inadequate GPU or a CPU that was never any good to begin with.

Poor performance of a game is usually due to a computer that's being asked to do other things at the same time. Unless your hardware is flatly inadequate, and it doesn't sound like you would have configured a professional computer with junk like a Q8200 or original Phenom.

Yeah same here.

I'm also keeping an eye on MGS5 and Watch Dogs. I'm hoping those games won't end up sucking dick though one is made by a dude who has zero patience for game design and the other a company notorious for shallow and bad game design. So eh. I'm gonna get burned by those but I'm hoping.
