Hi! Yesterday happened the strangest thing. I have played The Witcher 3 for more than 150 hours and never had this problem before. Most of the time I have played on my TV, and the TV speakers sound. Yesterday I connected the HDMI cable from the TV to the PC to play as usual, and when I started the game I realized I had my PC speakers as sound output (usually when I connected the TV the output device would switch automatically). So I exit, change the sound device from the PC speakers to the TV speakers on Windows, start the game again and it froze on a black screen after starting.
I could not alt-tab, nor alt-F4. I could ctrl-alt-del, but if I opened the task manager, nothing would happen. I restarted the computer several times, turned the TV off and on, but same thing kept happening. Then I tried starting the game without the TV connected, with my PC monitor, and it worked fine, sound included. But if I connected it to the TV, it would again crash. Then I tried starting the game from the TV but with my PC speakers selected, and the game run completely normal... wtf?
Does anybody know what the hell happened all of a sudden? And can I fix it? I wouldn't want to have to keep playing having the sound coming out of my PC speakers on the side of the room...
