http://www.cdaction.pl/news-19164/wiedzmin-2-zabojcy-krolow--recenzja-pierwsza-na-swiecie.htmlHe says that with side quests the game is twice as long. And that's for one playthrough.

Also, keep in mind the *entire* act 2 differs depending on the choices made in the first one. That is different elements of the story, npcs, quests, locations.

By the way, Smuggler also points out one more interesting thing about the review score: for a game to receive a "10" rating in CD-Action, opinions of at least 3 editors who played the game are needed. However, only enki and Monk played it. So, the game got the highest rating possible under the circumstances.

What does it mean? Did the reviewer confirmed that 24 hours just the main storyline? Or someone else that is giving false information?

Thanks for taking the time to type this our for us dude! I skipped passes some of the parts so I don't ruin the game for myself. But 9/10 for first review. Not bad at all!

It means what I wrote. 24 hours long = main storyline. With sidequests it is "safe to say" it's 2 times longer, meaning it might be even longer than that. Keep in mind the reviewers had to rush their playthrough...

Both of their reviewers played a different path and each one had ~ 24h of main story without side quests. So with different paths you get way more playing without replaying the same storyline.

If it's 24hours just main storyline without sidequests then it's fine..at least sidequests will add up another 25hours or so.. I'm very happy if game is 50hours long and have 16 endings.

I enjoyed ME2 for what it was, I hope to enjoy the witcher 2 for what it is, but the comparison seems well out of place to me, ME2 was far from a complex RPG where as the witcher was a complex RPG, I certainly hope the witcher 2 follows.

There's a big poster of Geralt's ugly mug in the mag, here's a cellphone pic of it (TW1EE dvd box for size comparison):

The 24 hours is a huge downer for me. I really don't believe it, they always say something like that and in reality if you don't rush through the game you can finish it in half the time or a little more. Also while I believe W2 will be GREAT and I can't wait for it, I really don't care what CDA writes in their reviews (and I'm from Poland). I mean they gave Oblivion a 10/10 score and this pseudo-rpg-shooter called Mass Effect 2 also got a 10/10.

If he is comparing TW2 with the ME2 rubbish then it’s a waste of my time reading anything else said. The 24 hour for the game is a very big disappointment, especially after Mr Gop said that it was longer.

It's 24 hours long just like Fallout 2 is 30 minutes long - you can finish the main storyline in this particular amount of time, but the game's content is not limited to the main story arch.

Ok, 24 hours ONLY main story... In which difficulty? :DActually, I know that almost every player will replay the game (I hope...) at least two times in order to see ALL the game, something impossible to achieve in a single playthrough and even in two it seems.

I would be cautious with this 24 hours for main story-only. In the paper version they wrote: "Nieśpieszne przejście całości zajmuje zaś około 24 godzin..." which could be somewhat translated to: Unhurried playthrough of everything is around 24 hours. Now, they either made a mistake in the paper mag, or on the online site.

"Everything" does not mean 100% sidequests etc, rather, it means playing from start to finish.

Ever heard of a thing called "correction"? The quote you mentioned is both in the paper review and the online summary. After a while, one of the (senior) staff members pointed out it was in relation to the main story arch and with sidequests the game is at least twice as long. There's nothing to be cautious about.

can't trust any reviewer whos gives a game a perfect 10 and especially for mass effect 2, that game was so overly hyped. They took out so much that made the mass effect franchise so good, I mean the RPG parts, they guttted it and replaced it with dumbed down systems. It was a good game but no where near perfect 10. For me, the first Mass Effect was better, even with its flaws it was better.Don't ever trust paid reviewers....

Yes, I've heard about thing called correction, but as I've said, I just don't trust their reviews, especially after giving perfect 10s to pseudo-rpgs. But that is my opinion, only. I guess we just have to wait for release day and check for ourselves.I didn't want to start flame war or something, so I'm sorry.
