I got to download the mod, and the tutorial seems bugged. At the stage where it asks you to practice a riposte after a parry, it's impossible to do so with the new combat changes; according to the changelog there should be an indicator that pops up for a riposte automatically (since parrying is now automatic) but no such indicator happens. As such it's impossible to advance through the tutorial.
