I'm sure this isn't what you want to hear, but to get the gadwall you'll have to spend two points into the alchemy tree. I highly recommend "recuperation" because the out of combat regen is amazing, then a point into "Witcher secrets" will teach you gadwall and a bunch of others.

I'm actually glad that my Raven's armor has lasted this long thanks to the mod. I think Flash changed around how schematics work, same with weapons. They're meant to last a bit longer than they did in the vanilla game.

The witcher 1-armors are supposed to be a little more powerfull now, because he want's to let you feel like you've really earned something.

I have found that if you are out of combat, without any enemy to unleash your adrenalin on, sheathe your sword and quick save then quick load.
As long as you don't draw your sword, the fullscreen effect shouldn't appear again.

Sooooo, I'm completely stuck because I didn't put any points into this tree, and since you don't get any experience by killing monsters (which is nice, but in this case sucks for me) I will need to take a save far enough back to get 2 points. Great ..... Put some warnings, or an alternative way to get a Gadwall potion to avoid similar situations, please.

EDIT : I tried to deactivate the mods, kill a few mobs to gain a level by mob (with the mod you have more XP stored for your actual level than without the mod, so each time you gain experience you get a talent point), and allocating the points to the alchemical tree. didn't work. Worse, I don't have any skills in the alchemist tree named "witcher secrets" !

To be fair, it says it at the bottom of the "Economy" section of the changelog. Also at the bottom of "character development".

I thought character development meant "progressing through the storyline", not "putting points into a tree".

I worked my way around my problem by swiching back to the unmodded version, killing 2 mobs, then sciching back to the modded version before allocating these new points (that's what I did wrong last time). Then only, it worked. But I don't have the right descriptions on my skills, so I have no idea what I'm putting my points in.

Please move:

Documents\Witcher 2\UserContent\fcr2_arena\en0.w2string file

to

witcher_installation_folder\CookedPC\

Before overwriting the file make a backup.

that should fix your tooltips.

Nope, that did nothing at all. I even tried to look at the arena mode, but same old tree back there too.

I will wait for the next version. I'll play blind till then, I just hope I won't be stuck again by the alchemical tree.

To summarize the bugs I encountered while playing FCR:
-Phillipa's head missing(I checked and others after installing the mod are having this problem)
-Whetstone is not enabled to be used inside crafting menu. Crafting a weapon like Devil or Dark armor becomes impossible. There's allegedly already a fix for dark mode weapon/armor here
-Riposte not working on tutorial, though Flash already acknowledged it and will release a fix soon.

If anyone is able to fix the whetstone bug not only for dark mode I'll be highly grateful.
And it's not a bug but I haven't found any skill I can apply a mutagen to, any hints?

EDIT:
There's three skills in the alchemy three called mutation, they are the ones you can apply mutagens to.

yes it is english

edit.: Ok it seems like its fixed, the skill description were english before but in the launcher the Text language was a different, after changing it, it now shows the right descriptions

to

witcher_installation_folder\CookedPC\

And before overwriting the file make a backup?

That will update your tooltips for the mod.

Hello guys, I've been browsing through this thread just a bit because I've encountered quite a few bugs and such. Pretty happy that the whetstone crafting diagrams have been fixed already.

So, I haven't seen anyone talking about it yet: Similarly to the whetstone diagrams, I can't craft any Oil with the mod diagram (1 Balisse + 1 Essence of Water), my Balisse stacks aren't detected, just like whetstones aren't detected when you want to craft the cursed swords in chapter 2.

Also, although it's not a bug, I've been a bit confused with many essential diagrams - I'm in the early chapter 2, Iorveth's side, and I couldn't find the diagrams for Robust Cloth / Studded + Hardened Leather / Keyran armor, neither in Flotsam nor Vergen - And I made all quests I could find. Any advice from someone who could have found these diagrams?

I also find it quite troubling that I got very high-level swords in the Arachas' Lair in chapter I. I found Deithwen (Looted in chap. III in the main game) and a Koviri Sword (bought from Bras of Ban Ard, chapter III, in the main game) ; so I wonder if that was intentional because those swords at this stage of the game were pretty overpowered.

I'm in act 2 as well and i didn't find those diagrams either. Also you can't craft conflagration, harpy, rage(fury) traps and Devil sword. They all require exquisite versions of common items.

i'm experiencing problem with beginning of second act - Tancreville's fireballs are killing friend or foe, while i managed to avoid them, problem is they also wound Dethmold, and once killed, he respawns at the begining and does nothing... its very hard to make it through the mist, because if Tancreville wont kill Dethmold, those Wraiths always do...

I'm having a problem in the prologue where using bombs has a pretty good chance of locking Geralt in the t-pose until an enemy hits him. This is a problem because bombs are almost required to survive on normal difficulty (at least for me).
