Bug: In chapter 1 when you lead Iorveth to the barge, when the fight starts you begin in hand-to-hand mode unable to draw your sword.
The same bug occurs in the side quest where you bring the alchemy formula to a bandit cave for testing and are locked up. You are meant to break out of the cell, pick up a sword from the rack and kill the bandits. However, after picking up the sword you remain locked in hand-to-hand mode. Had to run all the way back to Flotsam dropping yrdens to outrange the bandits before Geralt would come out of combat and allow me to draw a weapon.

Pretty much all types of monsters are hopelessly easy to kill. Particularly, the Endraga Queens and the Arachas are severely underwhelming. Arachas can be defeated by spamming left click. it doesn't defend, interrupt, anything. Endraga Queens and even
Letho himself are killable with abuse of Yrden, in fact Letho falls in a single paralyze. One Yrden. One. The wraiths in the abandoned hospital suffer the same mindless weakness.

On the other hand, swarms of Nekkers provide a refreshingly difficult experience. In situations where you are attacked by up to 10 or more at the same time (like in the caves near Flotsam) some pre-planning and traps are almost certainly necessary. I like this.

Additionally, smalls groups of humans are difficult enough that I actually have to pay attention but ultimately they are still pretty simple to dispatch. Funnily, the hardest fight I have encountered so far has been with the 5 guards at the ballista in the prologue!

It's been a while since I played TW2 but I don't remember Hard mode being this simple. Letho took me multiple tries previously, and Yrden didn't seem this ridiculously OP.

Anyone else experience this problem?

Same here. I think it's a matter of the fact that you can pretty much stun lock people with your sword attacks.

Oh, so I'm not the only person who finds that fight to be insane under FCR2. The lac of a dedicated block button and the fact that it is almost impossible to riposte now seem to be making the game a bit less fun. is there any way the riposte icon could be shown and the timing widened?

Just finished my full play-through with FCR2. It's a bit too easy, even on dark difficulty, granted I did find Marag Bator early than I expected in the game (same with Beann'Shie) but the fact the stunlock is too much. Also there's virtually no negative in hitting some ones shield which is something else that bothered me. Will definitely play through it again in the future because I like where the combat is heading but it's just too easy. Both Letho fights were a walk in the park.

The draug fight was far, far too easy. You should not be able to stunlock it to death.

Otherwise, I haven't encountered any problems that aren't on the upcoming change list. Keep it coming.

Do you have modded XML's in the CookedPC folder? If so, then they hinder the FCR2 mod.

So I had from myself conformist equipment CEO Overhaul and Better Combat Darkness, as loose XML's in the CookedPC folder.

The Game engine reads first all XML's in the list tree and then "dzips".

Thereby it is falsified of the FCR2 Mod and some things run wrong.

These are, in any case, my experiences. After I have removed the loose XML's, ran the Mod only properly right.

btw, one issue also with the Scent quest in Chapter 1 - after they capture you, and you try to free yourself, you get killed immediately with a single hit. Its not possible to even grab a weapon... only way how i managed to complete this was to reload and refuse to get binded.. they gave me the location of hideout, and i could get there with my weapons, so they had no chance to defeat me..

It seems like you die in one hit from any attack if you do not have any weapon equipped. This may also be a bug?
In your situation you're meant to Aard your way out of the cell, grab the sword on the weapon rack in front of you, and use it to dispatch the bandits.
The problem here is that after you pick up the sword and equip it you are still locked in hand-to-hand mode as if you don't have a weapon.

Yet another problem I ran into, in Chapter 3 I can't find anywhere to buy silver ore in order to make the last Dark Mode armor set :(, in addition to that in chapter 2 the fights during that whole ghost walking segment in the fog, I found the enemies to be prohibitively difficult.

edit: nevermind, I found out a place to get it.

wow this support here is awesome. first game i played where the community is working together with a dev so closely. thx for this.

i have also a problem with this mod ... just a small one:

i finished part one of the game, second highest difficulty, but i never had any problems in a fight.

for example the first fight vs LETHO. I just used the left mouse button to push him away all the time... he had no chance to counter attack me and after 3 hits his HP was on 0% and after ~2mins of pushing him around (without HP!) the fight was over.

Anything wrong with my mod?!

And i found this bug:

Has this been reported yet? I can't craft the swords of the Dark Difficulty set in Act I. Even though I have enough items in my inventory, the game doesn't seem to recognize one of them - 'Oselka do miecza' (the sword improvement item).

UPD The craftsman seems to require this item in Unique quality, while I have it in Common quality.

I just used grapeshot bombs to kill off the bandits.

Nope, this doesn't fix Philippa's face issue. At least not in Act I when Triss talks to her via megascope.

I have a problem that makes it nearly unplayable on Dark difficulty:

If you try to use block immediately after an attack, it will not work and consume 1 vigor bar. Same if you try to use it immediately after any action like dodge or sign. Try doing it without a delay and you will see. I don't think it's by design since you said that one of the core features is ability to break almost all animations with block.

I don't know why this happens but since it consumes a vigor bar, it's gotta be with the automatic switching to quen. Please fix this, it makes Dark Difficulty pretty much impossible.
