Full Combat Rebalance 2

So are merchants supposed to have next to no recipes on them? Berthold only sells a jagged blade recipe

Also for some reason there are no mutagen slots on my skills

Oh and fist fights take ages to deal with, it takes tons of hits to take down an enemy, but a slip up or two and I'm down

Yeah, the schematics got switched around a lot and in the case of weapons/armor schematics quite a few got removed to create a progression curve suitable for the mod. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ar-8WKJYhxqFdENlUTZUU0hwMmoyZE9pbXZ6UHgxdnc#gid=77 This is the mod documentation and the installer should have put a copy of it into your game folder somewhere if you want to check it whenever. If you don't see an item in here, you won't find it in game while the mod is installed and active.

The mutagens got changed too. There are three slots down in the Alchemy tree that should be labeled Mutagen or something. Those are the only three slots you can put Mutagens into now, and don't worry about saving them for Greater mutagens because you won't be finding any. Just slot whatever type of Mutagen you prefer into them as soon as you get them and have the slots unlocked.

The fist fights I don't know about. I haven't noticed fistfights taking ton of hits to take down even on Dark difficulty (assuming difficulty has anything to do with that).

I have noticed a problem:
After uninstalling the mod, look at your skill tree: All the description of the training tree is still the same as when the mod was installed. I havent checked in other tree as I was level 1.
How do I change these description back ??

I did have a problem with downloading it 1 time but then I synched my internet time and it downloaded just fine the 2nd time . The "unexpected end of archive" simply means that you didn`t get the full download . I use the Chrome browser btw . Another thing you might try is clearing your browser cache and retry .

Tried syncing time, will see if it works. I tried with both firefox and IE11 and same thing happened. Next I'll try on phone I guess but let's see if it works this time.

Edit: Time syncing worked! Weird, but thanks!

I just started new game with fcr 1.2 installed, and i don't have any points allocated in "training" tree. Is it right? I'm not sure, but i think i've seen somewhere in this thread u should have all 6 passives from training right at the beginning at lvl 1.

I've got a few problems and questions;

First of, does this work with the GOG.com version of the game? I installed it, tried arena, but, it doesn't seem to work all that well. The active parry changed to a Quen block yes, but, I never parry passivly, don't deflect any arrows, and while the skill tree has changed, it is still showing me 2 levels for the skills. As in I have the Witcher default training tree, but only at level 1 out of 2. All skills show 1/2. I tried resinstalling a few times, but so far, no dice. Do I need the Steam version?

Second, if I finish a playthrough with the FCR, can I use that save in the coming Witcher 3 game?

Yes FCR2 works with both GOG and Steam Versions as well as disc that is patched up to 3.4 .
I think FCR2 saves will be fully compatible with whatever choices we are given for import choices . The devs as far as I know are still working on the import mechanic .

Thanks Tommy.

Remaining question then, what could've happende so that I only seem to have 'half' an install of the mod, ie, i do have the quen animations, but not the parry or the skill tree changes.

In the game's launcher window have you clicked on Mods and activated all the parts of it there? Or you can open the user Content Manager from the game's bin folder to do the same thing. It's a bunch of stuff that will be labeled FCR v1.2 Arena, FCR v1.2 Prologue, Act 1, and so on. Those need to be active or a lot of stuff will be missing.

I finally have time to try out the mod, and lovin it, awesome work as usual :D

Quick question,
The source folder "FCR2 Source Files" only has one file: en0.xml
Is this right? where are the source files?
Should I unpack the pack0 and use them in redkit? I read that cooked files cannot be opened in redkit??

I started playing a few days ago with this mod because I loved FCR for Witcher 1.
I played FCR 1 on the lowest of the hard difficulties and still had some problems against hard battles like the Bruxa or the Garkain. You had to use potions and oils for almost every monster fight, it was challenging and I loved every minute.
I chose Hard difficulty for FCR2 now because I like it challenging but so far I'm having no problems whatsoever. I'm not really far in, only beat the queen endregas and the greater rotfiend for the main quest without any potions or oils. Does it get any harder or should I start again in dark mode?

I already finished TW2 2x, one time on hard, one time on dark and I really have to say the combat in FCR 2 feels a lot more fluid. The changes on signs, parry, riposte and skill tree are well done. Great job Flash, I hope there will be a FCR 3.

A quick question in case anyone is still around. I started my first playthrough with the FCR mod, and I was wondering if I would be able to use that endgame save with The Witcher 3 when it comes out or if the changes to the savegame file would mean I need to have a non-FCR savegame to use with The Witcher 3.

Noting is definite right now . But as I see it I don`t think there will be any issue with importing a save using FCR 2 . I may be wrong but certainly hope that i`m not .

I had no problems importing my FCR1 1.5 save to both Vanilla Witcher 2 as well as Witcher 2 with FCR2 1.2 so I think it's safe to assume there won't be any problems with importing FCR2 save into Witcher 3. I only wonder if Flash will ever make FCR3 for Witcher 3 in far future.

I don't think it makes any changes to the story or player decisions, so I'm guessing everything will be fine on that end. I know FCR 2 changes the skill trees, but I'm assuming we'll sort of start over with level progression/etc. in TW3 anyway. I could be wrong though; I'm just going by what I know from a few other games that have save game imports. Could end up being different for TW3.

Anyone got a working FOV mod for FCR 1.2? I would really like third person view but sadly puroko's FOV mod is said to only be compatible with 1.1a. Please help if you know how to change it :p

i have problem where geralt doesn't automatically parry and the qte's for fighting are way too long

So I started only wearing pants half way through chapter 2 and only found some boots that provided armor near the start of chapter 3. Seriously, not much point to wearing pants, shoes, or gloves if they provide no protection and are nothing but dead weight. Albeit, Geralt did look rather silly. I've never read the books or anything, but I would hope that Geralt actually had reasons to wear pants and shoes, right?
