10/10 Would read again. That was quite amusing.Xangi said:It started like that, then it escalated because a person just couldn't accept that I might have thought out my points better than he/she did. Talk to them, not me. I stated my piece clearly and concisely, all they did was keep responding with increasingly less effective "counter arguments". I would also like to add that the only "hostile" action I took was posting my little chart, which I admit I took great pleasure in doing. The rest was just simple debate.
Done, good sir. It was rather childish of me to indulge in such behaviour and I apologize to everyone, that includes Xangi.Tommy said:Cease the hostilities now.
It was disgusting. Exchange of ideas ruined by combativeness.Sirnaq said:10/10 Would read again. That was quite amusing.
This would be ideal, but then I suspect at that point Flash will come on here and tell us to mod the bloody thing ourselves. And deservedly so. I'm at odds with certain changes but it's his project, not mine. For now I'll wait till he releases the new patch and give it another try.cmdrsilverbolt said:Isn't there an option for which parts of the game you'd like to implement the mod? At least that's the impression I got from the check box menu.
I am not talking about the Quen block. I am talking about the auto parry chance that's supposed to happen then facing your opponent and not attacking.Dife said:Parry is a little breaking gameplay system because of the very slow Geralt's Quen animation, that sometimes make you hit although you've already pressed the Parry button, but nothing of what you mention happens to me.
This seem's to confirm it's broken in my game and not working at all. Haven't successfully parried once and I'm standing in front of enemies locked on and not attacking...Flash said:
- Enemy parrying works the same way as Geralt's - if it happens, it happens instantly.
- Fast reaction time is the same as in vanilla game.
- Geralt's chance to parry is equal to:
99% - 5%*(hitCounter-1) - 10% if it's a flanking attack.
Hit counter increases by 1 with each parried hit and resets to zero after 2 seconds of not parrying attacks.- Geralt won't parry if he's performing an offensive action. It's either offense or defense - the same as in vanilla game.
- One shotting on dark difficulty? The same as in vanilla game.
It works fine for me, I don't lock on or anything just stand and Geralt parries automatically. I just face the enemy.Diernes said:This seem's to confirm it's broken in my game and not working at all. Any idea why this is happening? or a way to fix it?
Just ran and checked again because, you know, it'd been awhile since I fought a human. Nope. Auto-parry fired one out of four times.sidspyker said:It works fine for me, I don't lock on or anything just stand and Geralt parries automatically. I just face the enemy.
Well yeah, doesn't always parry it's percentage based. I was just describing how it works for me, hoping it might help someone.Sardukhar said:Just ran and checked again because, you know, it'd been awhile since I fought a human. Nope. Auto-parry fired one out of four times.
There is a potion (maribor forest i guess?) that significantly increases chance of parry.Sardukhar said:Just ran and checked again because, you know, it'd been awhile since I fought a human. Nope. Auto-parry fired one out of four times.
I worked on this tonight and fixed it. Well kinda... Seems to be an issue with some other mod I have installed. So I started fresh with a new install and the FCR on top and now it's working fine. Although i was not getting any parries at all wasn't intermittent like you are reporting.Sardukhar said:Just ran and checked again because, you know, it'd been awhile since I fought a human. Nope.
