i´d like to hear your opinions on resolution & framerates on cyberpunk videos for youtube.
im am new to content creating and need to decide which resolution i should go for.

the ratio is 21:9, so when i say "full hd" or "1080p" im talking about 2560x1080. "4k" / "2160p" is 5120x2160.

when i run cyberpunk on max settings in 1080p, i get solid 60fps
for 2160p i get around 40-50fps with minor tweaks in the graphics settings.

should i go for 1080p60 or sacrifice some of the frames to get 2160p?

i guess most youtube users will not be able to watch in 5120x2160.
but the difference between 40 and 60+ fps is barely noticable (to my untrained eye). most movies run on even lower framerates

what do you think is better? 2560x1080 or 5120x2160?

"FULL HD 60FPS VS 4K FOR YOUTUBE"

1080P 60FPS.

Should check this link out. Eye specialists say the human eye cannot even see 2K, let alone 4K. It's also said that most streaming between servers and your system is being done with a speed that is no more than 720 MBPS, and that it'll take quite some time before that's raised to 1080 MBPS.

Steam has lowered their download speed to between 80, and 100 MBPS, where it used to be according to yours. Presumably, to guarantee a stable connection for everyone.

60 fps all day. I can't speak for everybody, however I am clearly able to distinguish a 1080p from 2160p footage, however the frame rate will always be my priority.

I could say also 1080 60FPS for Youtube videos :)
I think 4K is good but for other case (PC screen, Picts, Games on very large screen). in short where the eyes have time to linger.

PS :
We can be said that my eyes does not perceive 4K with all kinds of scientific tests, when I play a game, like Cyberpunk where my eye does not focus on the entire screen, on a 4K screen at "low" pixel density like my large television, I see a huge difference between 1080 and 4K. It would be less obvious on my iMac 27' which only makes a quarter of my TV.
But for Youtube videos, 1080 is perfectly fine :)

thanks for all your insightful comments. <3
i lean towards 1080p60, but i have to think about it.

im going for story focused gameplay which might be watched on a TV at some point.
but the vast majority of youtube users will probably benefit more from higher fps.

is 1080 still enjoyable on your 4k TV or is it too blurry?

Personally I would prefer to play at 60Hz because of input lag, But I think 1080p is too low for this game. It really starts to shine at 4K. It depends a bit on your playstyle, but I would say 40 FPS is enough for the viewers. On the other hand, my internet is too slow for anything above 1440p.

holy cybercow, i just realized it runs at 5120x2160 60fps with max settings and DLSS at ultra performance
still looks pretty damn amazing, what kind of sorcery is this?

in theory most youtube users will get a better quality with 1080p and DLSS off
but im too stupid to spot the difference between DLSS off and ultra performance.
the difference in performance is absolutely insane

You will definitely be able to tell the difference after having played some time. DLSS can cause a specific kind of aliasing/flickering on objects in the distance. Easily noticeable when you do the streetkid tutorial and go outside to the gateway where Padre is waiting: the fence that surrounds the area has more aliasing when DLSS is enabled. Other examples are closed windows, the number plates on buildings, as well as objects reflected in puddles. (Although I believe that the puddles have been improved with the latest patches.) At standard 4K I personally prefer the DLSS_Balanced mode with reduces details such as RT shadows disabled, or DLSS_Performance for everything being maxed out. I recommend to turn off Motion Blur if you do comparisons.

thank you!

no problem!
PS.: I forgot to mention: Some settings only change when reloading the save file.

probably the wrong forum but..
does anyone know a capture card that is able to record 5120x2160 with 60fps?
