Oh, thank you thank you thank you for this, Game Widow! I have seen it from the first time i played the game, and i didn't know the name of the dwarf! Then i said "no, it must be my idea" . Now with your link i see it's right! Great! This is really great!gamewidow said:there's the picture of Yarpen Zigrin that hangs in a few places... and one picture falls off the wall
Yes that's the one I meant and there is an other portrait which has much similarity with Leonardo da Vinci.gamewidow said:there's the picture of Yarpen Zigrin that hangs in a few places... and one picture falls off the wall
I meant the voice actor in the English version not the character model in a physical sense. I knew the character was modelled after a developer but it's the voice that sounds like a Jeremy Irons impression to me.Sum said:Maarloeve is one of RED team, Adam Badowski. Wow, that's so cool. Thanks for posting that link, for those of us who don't speak Polish!(Some of those characters I thought were really attractive, and others I thought were very homely -- I'm glad I didn't say anything in public about which was which.Sum said:Maarloeve is one of RED team, Adam Badowski. Wow. How on earth did you come to learn that little fact? I live less than an hour from Salem, and most of the people around here couldn't tell you the names of the accusers!Cassandra31EEE said:Well, maybe it 's been mentioned before, but the 11 years old Abigail Williams was the main accuser of Salem witches. Er...apart from the historical records http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abigail_Williams, (Note I don't consider wikipedia as a valid reference, but it does include the photo of Abigail's witness statement), Abigail Williams is also a character in Arthur Miller's classic play 'The Crucible', based to a degree on the witch trials (and of course a commentary on the communist witch hunts of the McCarthy era in the US).Corylea said:Wow. Nothing wrong with knowing 'er from the play. A lot better than knowing from this: http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=73633Not sure what's worse, using poor Abigail as a band name or that logo.Cassandra31EEE said:That's how i knew.Cassandra31EEE said:Abigail Williams is also a character in Arthur Miller's classic play 'The Crucible', based to a degree on the witch trial![]()
Right! I've read "The Crucible" last year and had to write a big essay on it. It does sort of seem ironicCassandra31EEE said:Well, maybe it 's been mentioned before, but the 11 years old Abigail Williams was the main accuser of Salem witches. Now, ironically she's reborn as a witch?
Actually a friend of mine took that monologue as a auditioning piece and as I just entered the swamps with my new enhanced Geralt, I noticed the line he delivers at the one broken tower and thought the same thingCassandra31EEE said:Looked though the 21 pages written so far and didn't see this one, so...about the history of the Tower in the Swamp.It reminded me of this line from Monty Python and the Holy Grail; though I think the Swamp Tower only "sank into the swamp" twice.[Scene 14: The Tale of Sir Lancelot] Herbert's Father: "Listen, lad. I built this kingdom up from nothing. When I started here, all there was was swamp. Other kings said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built it all the same, just to show 'em. It sank into the swamp. So, I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third one. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one...stayed up! And that's what you're gonna get, lad: the strongest castle in these islands."{Transcribed by Adam R. Jones}
