The only way you could know that is through diligent effort with camera action to peer specifically up the ladies' dresses. If that doesn't make you a pervert, I don't know what does.I may as well admit that I know that because I am the kind of pervert who would make that effort. ;)

Forgive me if this has been mentioned already. In the "Side Effects" module, the crime boss "Mr.Glover" is very similar to the character "Brick Top" from the film Snatch^^ Mr.Glover feeds his dead enemies to Wyverns..Brick Top does the same, except with Pigs lol To reinforce the similarity there is even a speech Mr.Glover gives at a certain point in the module that mimics the famous "Do you know what Nemesis means?" scene from Snatch^^ Sorry again if this has been mentioned, most likely it has,but i couldnt resist..just in case eh^^ :)

Oooh cool :) Im 99% sure this is an easter egg,i remember seeing in earlier pages of this thread (if memory serves) that there is another Snatch easter egg related to a certain taunt Geralt uses during fist fights..which pretty much indicates that some of the dev's are fans of the film lol So finding another one within the "Side Effects" module makes sense to me...they are both crime bosses, both feed their victims to animals (wyverns/pigs lol) and to top it off,Mr.Glover does ask Geralt a similar question about the word "Nemesis"..which is a well known scene from Snatch :peace:

I don't know if this has been mentioned, iIn Act II there's a townswoman that says to you "The Butcher of Blaviken is in town. If you see him, run!"
The Butcher of Blaviken is a nickname that Geralt gets in The Lesser Evil short story from The Last Wish.

I don't believe i didn't think of this before:I am a huge fan of Asterix comics. Now, the story of the silver sword doesn't ring a bell (Memory of a Blade quest)?Asterix, "The Chief's Shield"! ;) It's almost the same story:At the battle of Alesia (sorry for the names, i can't write them correctly in English), the heroic chief of the Galatians, Versizentorix, after the bitter defeat by the Roman armies, gave his weapons to the Caesar (Julious). Then, the weapons were not touched by anyone, because of the fear of the great Galatian warrior. Only one Roman soldier, took the shield. But, a higher rank soldier took it from him. Gambler as he was, he lost it to a game of dice! ... And the story goes on and on... until you find out that an innkeeper gifted a Galatian warrior with this shield, because he was too sad about the great defeat from the Romans. (Now, who was that warrior, is another story. Read the comic and you 'll know. It's one of the best stories of Asterix ;) ).I don't know if this story with Versizentorix 's shield is true, (it wouldn't surprise me), but i 'm sure that the developers of our beloved game read Asterix!

Thank you! When I first saw Bloedzuiger it instantly reminded me of a monster from x-files. Also, talking ghoul might be a tribute to Baldur's Gate

You all know the phrase "A good elf is a dead elf" which is a quotation from Milan Raupenneck… in the Witcherworld. But the original phrase is from Philip Sheridan, a major general of the US army in the 19th century. He said during the Indian wars "The only good Indian is a dead Indian".

Wrong. Even Wikipedia isn't right (what a suprise!...).He had a comrade (don't want to say friend, since I'm not sure), I presume a tracker, that was Indianand got killed. What he actually said was more in the terms of "I know only one good Indian and he is dead".It's a common mistake.I know my history lessons, yeehaw! :teeth:

okay, okay... ;D the phrase I know is "The only good Indian is a dead Indian" and I think that's how it is quoted everywhere ... at least in Sapkowski's novel and CDPR's game as well. And I knew the original is from any general of US army in the 19th century but I didn't know who. Regardless what Sheridan actually said, everybody knew that he hated the Indians. And from "I know only one good Indian and he is dead" you can interpret 2 completely different meanings :whistle:Hugh!

Can we get an easter egg and such for each act? I don't want to go through the sticked thread for fear of spoilers as I have only been able to play up to act 2 but would love to see things I undoubtedly missed. One general question...do we ever get to go back to the outskirts? It would be fun to see the destroyed city after you kill the entire population for the evil *&*(^% they are.

Just don't read all pages of the Easter Egg thread ;) You just need to be a vigilant observer (or listen carefully to background noises) to notice Easter Eggs.

No, there is no chance to go back to the outskirts when you arrive in Vizima. If you want to see the destroyed village and outskirts you can walk around everywhere before you go the gate.

1) Everybody knows that the wall paintings in Kaer Morhen are depictions of Saint George fighting the dragon but I have found the original authors: it was Paolo Uccello and Gustav Moreau. Here are the original paintings:Ucello: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ed/Paolo_Uccello_047b.jpgMoreau: http://www.bestpriceart.com/vault/cgfa_moreau24.jpgI would be very grateful if someone could find any info about the third wall painting.2) Geralt's response to Triss, which leads to the sex scene in prologue is direct quotation from the first volume of original saga when Triss comes to Kaer Morhen and Geralt says how happy he is to see her.3) From the legends of northern England (especially Yorkshire), Barghest is a big black dog hunting the lonely wanderers who cross the narrow streets of York city.4) "Kalkstein" in German means "limestone".5) In the Side Effect adventure, you can do some fist fighting. The strongest fighter is "Gruziła" (I don't know his name in English version of the game).Gruziła was also in the original saga. When Rience came to Dandellion for the first time in Lantieri bordello, Dandellion tried to scare Rience by saying he will call Gruziła to kick his butt out of there.

Sheridan was a fellow who hate simple likes and dislikes. If you weren't entirely on his side, he hated you. Just consider what he did to the Shenandoah Valley in 1864!Anyone familiar with that campaign isn't surprised to discover that atrocities and civilian deaths really weren't a concern of his.

Really? Interesting. What means Gruziła ? The strongest fighter in the German version is called "Der Rivianer" (The Rivian).

And the knight from the poster is pointing at you in same way as Lord Kitchener or Uncle Sam pointing on their posters.
