FUR in The Witcher 3

Nvidia just presented a live demo of how fur will be implemented in The Witcher 3:

Looks pretty amazing!

Also check out the slides about TW3 from the Nvidia press conference:

When I upgrade my PC just before TW3 is released, my current GTX580 will be repurposed as a dedicated PhysX card. I hope it will be enough for all this glorious fur...

No TXAA on that list of Witcher 3 features...which is odd considering another screenshot showed it with TXAA on the list for TW3.

So will TW3 use TXAA or not CDPR?

So, what's it going to be?
Will this tech be in TW3 or not? I thought I read someone saying it shan't.

In the video at 1:16 TXAA is mentioned, so probably it will be there.

I've notice this on the website hmm official game cover? Lets hope it's not.

In the video the Nvidia guy who is speaking says that this tech will be there in The Witcher 3. He also says that all the cloaks and pelts in TW3 will be simulated this way as well.

Wow it looks amazing, they totally overused it though, since when its moving its very exaggerated, but it still looks great.

I hope txaa isnt the only type of aa in the game though

You can see this specific tech in action on the wolves in the actual trailer we just got.

My only concern is why don't they apply it to everything such as the Skellige guards ?

I really doubt that it will be the official cover. It's just a part of this screenshot. Most probably, lacking any official cover, Nvidia guys just took a random available screenshot and put the title over it.

The Nvidia guy in the video linked in the OP said that this tech will be applied to everything, including the fur cloaks of e.g. Skellige guards. Keep in mind that it was a pre-alfa version in the trailer.

The day when TW3 is released is a good day to upgrade from this laptop, and go back to Nvidia for a change! Been liking my experience with AMD so far!

WHAT?!?!?
Did nVidia pay CDPR hush money for this?/>?/>!!!!!!!!

Maybe, or maybe Nvidia is just offering programming support to add all this features in the game.

HBAO and HDAO are just different methods of implementing ambient occlusion, nothing to do with "for AMD" or "for Nvidia".
@fur-topic: I just hope this isn't more nvidia-proprietary stuff, but will be available for all gamers.

It will be exclusive, I am fairly certain of that.

But honestly between having no fur/hair and having these in-game but exclusive to Nvidia cards well I know which option I'll pick. Sure's there is TressFX for AMD cards but seriously it's TOO much of a performance hit to use on more then one or two people, even on AMD cards.
