Game broken - Vergen Besieged

i reinstalled the game (not EE) and the problem save file loaded fine.

the wheel is fixed and i can move on now.

i may reinstall the EE patch later, but i'm wary that another problem may pop again later.
hopefully we get some official word/fix on this.

I have the same problem. Been playing for awhile non-stop, getting very into the game, then this happens....The damn wheel is stuck in the wall...

That's good to hear if devs won't give us a solution.And i really hope it is just this bug..
Why don't you try to continue on your EE?

Did you reinstalled the enchanced edition too?
Duckspeaker confirms that the bug is non existant in the 2.1 version.

yes i have reinstalled with EE now im installing without EE and i shall answer as quickly as possible , to add about the unistall i cleaned registry files just to be sure but as i said with no succes

The problem is inside the EE patch.It should work without it..It's a cheap trick if somebody wants to skip this bug to use an older version of the game.I'll just wait for a patch.

Could those of you who have saves from before this moment in the game and experience this problems send the saves to help2start@thewitcher.com so we could have a look at this issue?
You can find the saves in (...)My Documents\Witcher 2\gamesaves, they have .sav extensions. I would like to have a look at the issue.

I will send the save as soon as i go home!

I have backups of both 2.1 version and EE version at similar locations near end of chap 2 before this bug/quest. Will send when I get home today.

Do anyone know if i start from a save of act II and do the transition to act III normally if this bug will exist?

I've got the same issue. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but after the cd key check it required to install the latest version of the updates (the EE), otherwise it won't start. I wasn't able to bypass the problem, I'll have to wait for a corrective patch .. I sent the save file at the email address on the meantime.

i hope so too.

i have reinstalled the EE patch since yesterday and everything has been working fine again.
no noticeable glitches so far and i'm at the end of the game now.

if anyone is desperate and just wants to finish the game on any save, here is my save file for right after the glitch:
