for 32bit, read my link i posted aboveAnathemic said:I run TW2 using Win7 32-bit.
I also have crashes, but it rarely happens, every 3-6 hours, and I've never lost my saves. Yeah it's annoying, but just like how TW1 crashed on me, I deal with it. Thankfully it isn't constant like TW1 was.
yeah...on my first horrendous run-through to Ch3 the "load last save" crashed my pc every time. had to manually reload (always getting killed) but still occaisionally crashed. had to turn of power on tower to get out! So in furious mood re-installed game twice more but NOW it crashes alternately on opening inventory or journal. game is now unplayable. have a new computer with rad6 and masses of mem (both dead spaces, dragon ages, boishocks, mass effects, dow1/2, fallouts, portal, assassins creed, total wars all on my pc with win7 ---- NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER!) this game is patched right up and was bought on disk from a shop and i'm not tech savvy. spent hours mucking around with this stupid product. CAN I GET A REFUND PLEASE!Konstantine said:game crashes after few saves on win 7, on XP everything is ok.
All i wanted to know was refunds. No...well great! Since your so interested my specs are Win7 HP SP1, Intel i7 - 2600 cpu@3.40 ghz 3.70 ghz, 16gb ram, 64 bit op. sys. and Radeon HD 6800 graphics card all 4 months old! Seems like a decent pc to me so please try to tone down your disdain, you are a 'volunteer' after all!GuyN said:We are all volunteers here. For official support, see the Support link. But the first things they will ask are the same things we ask: Give your computer specs in detail. I don't know what a "rad6" is, just for starters.
This game chews up and spits out computers that run less demanding games like the Fallouts, just for appetizers. So the fact that you can play other games doesn't by itself tell us whether your computer can run this game. What I do know is that this game will expose hardware weaknesses or faults that few others will.
If you believe you are owed a refund, contact your vendor. Nobody here has any authority to give you a refund or even support your belief that you may be entitled to one.
ta sec-chi, but i'm not spamming. don't even no wot yoo mean! just having terrible time with this game. NOW the whole web site and signing in proceedures are going hay-wire. something is really amiss with this game and i have not the tech. capacity to fix it or even no were to start. i found something on a FAQ about crashing so turned the graphics to low YET it still crashed. AND thank you for at least remaining civil. people vent against CD NOT moderators, unless they're provoked!secondchildren said:@josalshep
Hi! I've just replied to your request here http://en.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?/topic/22642-game-freezes-at-in-game-menus/page__view__findpost__p__757645
Plz, do not spam posts, it's highly confusing for us.
I understand your disappointment, btw.
The only issue I think you might have with that system is the video card. The 6800 series ATI cards are not really that strong, and I believe a 5950 or 5970 are better performing cards. That said, it looks like the rest of your system is better than good, its just the GPU that's questionable for that game.josalshep said:All i wanted to know was refunds. No...well great! With that processor, you should be able to run 64 Bit, which would give the advantage of using more memory ( using more than 8 Gb is a bit of a waste unless you are doing stuff like Video Editting and stuff ).Gekiganger said:here are the results
