Game crashes when you first arrange to travel to Skellige

I initiated the mission to travel to Skellige for the first time. Have done this 3 times. Game crashes during the change in the cutscene from Geralt going to sleep in his cabin to waking up in the storm. Have updated video driver. Game has been working fine since the last patch. This is the first issue since then.

Or perform a clean install of your drivers

NVIDIA
I. Download the latest drivers using the following link: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
II. Download Display Driver Uninstaller and run it to remove previous versions of drivers.
III. Clean install drivers that you've downloaded in step 1.
AMD
I. Uninstall your graphics drivers using the AMD Cleanup Utility software.
II. Download and clean install the latest drivers from here: https://www.amd.com/en/support

Yes, definitely try verify/repair and - if that doesn't do anything - clean install GPU drivers as explained above.

If you had any mods, maybe remove them right before doing verify/repair and see if that changes anything.

In my current playthrough I had no problems going to Skellige with the latest patch.
