Game doesnt start

Hello, I bought witcher 3 on steam. But after installation the game doesnt start. It only appears a black screen with this litle windows loading cycle.

This is my system:
i7 3770K
HD 7970
16GB RAM
Windows 7 64bit

The issue I'm having. After installing it through Steam, and rebooting, I try to start the game from Steam, and I see a flash of black on my monitor like it might be starting but then it goes away and never starts!

Similar problem with GOG version, but i don't even get the the black window. I tried it with nvidia patch 350.12 and 352.86. It only start the witcher3.exe and one second later WerFault.exe about 3 seconds after that, both close again. You can see that in the task manager under processes.

System: Windwos 7 64bit, GTX660, i5-2500K, 8 GB RAM

You you tried right clicking the games exe (witcher3.exe), or desktop shortcut. Then ->properties->compatibility- then tick 'run as administrator'?.

Okay it's working for me now! I went to the file ordner, where steam installed the witcher and then I searched witcher3.exe. Somehow it was an other exe than the one that steam created on my desktop. I run it and it started the game.

It dosen't help, only change now is that dllhost.exe to start for a few seconds.

Then it should work

Propably gog users have a problem with gog galaxy. Can somebody from cd project confirm that?

Tried all of the above but nothing helps so far. I don't even use a desktop icon, I just start it straight from Steam but no go. I even clicked on the witcher2.exe in the Steam folder to start it but nope.

The crash dump files are located just below the witcher3.exe, and I can open them with notepad but I have no idea what they are telling me. If I knew who to send the file to I would.

I tried to run the wticher3.exe and said that ''VCOMP110.DLL is missed'

download from the link of neveraeria's post on the first page and install the exe. If that doesn't work google the VCOMP110.DLL, download it and copy the file in system32 folder sometimes it work's.

This fix worked on my laptop:
When I right click the .exe, I have an option to "Run with Graphics Processor"> For some reason, it was using the integrated processor and not the NVIDIA processor. When I choose "High Performance NVIDIA Processor", the game starts normally.

It works now, but only if launch the game from GOG Galaxy and not directly the witcher3.exe.

Same issue. Bought the game on Steam, it won't start when I click the play button. Tried reinstalling, verifying cache, turning Steam cloud off, etc., to no avail. I don't even get an error message.

Okay I've been looking at the config file for Witcher 3 and it's referencing files that don't exist in my install. I don't think the installer installed all of the files it was supposed to. I'm going to try and re-download the game.
