Game fails to start (was OK during closed beta)

When I click Play in GOG Galaxy v 1.2.9 the screen goes black and a bearly visible logo of CD PROJECT RED appears and then I get GWENT.EXE stopped working.
Game was working normally a couple of weeks ago during closed beta.
CPU 4770K
16MB RAM
HDD where the game is installed is a GOODRAM SSD
Windows 10 x64 PL

Tried running the game with and w/o the 4k textures DLC using 4k resolution and full HD. No difference. Just does not work.
I tried reinstalling and checking game files using GOG Galaxy but to no avail.

Please HELP

When executing the Gwent.exe file directly the game launches and works OK.

Same problem here. I was also in the closed beta and now my game won't start. I've only tried a reinstall so far, so I'm going to try some other things. Will post an update if I find a solution.

Update: I got the game working by going to the Gwent folder and starting the game from there as administrator instead of starting it from the GOG Galaxy client. This might work for you too.
