Fuck me, how the hell do these fuckers come to believe that they're so superior to millions when they're so thick?

Well, he's a son of multimillionaire... one of this "DAD I want to be a game developer!!" "Sure son, here take this half of million and make a CV for yourself" kind of guy. And then he goes out and says to dirty peasants what they should think and do.

I just came here to say... Polygon articles... probably destroy all brain cells, mine feel destroyed.
Reading their Tropico 5 and Shadow of Mordor article, there's only two conclusions I can come to:

They're just deliberately looking for controversy which they do all the time anyway

They're all on drugs.

I think it's a combination of them believing their own BS and deliberately exaggerating for clickbait.

For your own sanity I would say no, but if you read it as a comedy then maybe your brain cells will remain intact. You'll still cringe though.

Tropico 5 article

Sheesh, Polygon could write a 5 page article about the emotional and societal implications of opening a chest.
EDIT: Come here, @gregski let's feel miserable together

Cat-style game review. Hiss at the person who feeds you, put in the minimal effort required and then sleep, and ignore everybody.

Says the producer of the hugely popular Tropes Versus Women series that has just about every mainstream gaming publication eating out of the palm of his hand. That's a lot of control compared to us average people who can't get more than one or two good stories written about our side. Perhaps Jonathan McIntosh IS the patriarchy?

Game without control, called a movie or a novel isn't it? Get's me how the supposed experts don't realise that interactivity is the strength of this medium, tossers.

They clearly don't realize interactive is the core of the entire medium. When you see people talking about games having "a button to skip gameplay" you know something is extremely wrong...

Seems to be something with the medium these days, people think it needs to be catered to their specific needs... despite being a mass market product.

Visual novel, like what the Japanese have with their little anime princesses and glitter.

Nah even those have some choices to give you some control... they wants "games" which would play like a movie ;P.

Also they forgot that people can get different emotions and thoughts after seeing the same outcome.

I can't find a safe link for this, but I've just seen stuff about Intel dumping an ad campaign on gamasutra because of gamasutra being anti-Gamergate?

OK. Linking to a forum thread at The Escapist - it's the best I can get.
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.860762-GamerGate-Discussion-Debate-and-Resources?page=433

This is what matters, not some BS articles with messages of hate.

And a non-biased news report on it.

Fair enough, in the detail, but it opens by describing Gamergate as "the backlash in the video gaming community against perceived biased media reporting and accusations of sexism and misogyny. " rather than as a rabble of sexist and misogynist white neckbeards. That's better than most.

I wonder if in the future game journalists might not exist, or be relegated to something like an AI, that is naturally impartial.

Oh my god I feel Dirk Thrustington stirring!
