For me, I care less about the media corruption than the media smearing gamers. We all knew there was an unhealthy relationship between the gaming press and publishers. We all knew there was cronyism. My response was to never take most of them seriously, treat reviews with a grain of salt. It's when they thought it was cool to shit on the fanbase, to preach about morals and lecture us, that's what propelled this whole thing and why it's still going on. If they want it to stop, they'll go back to talking about games and stop talking about gamers.

Hatred really shows how many SJW's are just the same people as the "Video games cause violence" crowd. It's the same wolf in a different sheep skin trying to censor video games. Go look at tweets when Hatred first had its trailer released. You'll see many tweets from the "Video games are sexist" crowd complaining about the violence.
