Game of Thrones brought me here, in a way.
I have a great passion for Game of Thrones. But I'm pretty new when it comes to the Witcher series.
So what drove me here? Gameplay presentations that I came across on Polygon and IGN.
What was so appealing? An open world to explore in a time that reminded me a lot about Game of Thrones.
A beautiful world of choices and consequences, fantasy and mystery, sword and magic, darkness and monsters.
A genuine brutal fanasty world, because you see Witcher cut his sword through a man's body.
And there are half-naked ladies tasting blood in a ritual of some sort.
For me it feels like I'm being taken into a world that could have co-existant with the world of Game of Thrones.
So that's part of the reason I'm here now.
I'm not saying that the stories are similar at all.
I'm only saying that this thing is my kind of thing and I love that it's being released soon.
There is nothing out there that is offering this kind of open world fanatasy experience -
that I have dreamed about ever since I first saw Game of Thrones.
Does not seem to me that the Witcher 3 is holding anything back.
Blood, war, fantasy, magic, sword, interesting characters, beautiful ladies, frightening monsters, alluring monsters -
open world to explore, ride on a horseback, make choices that has consequences, it seems to be so much to do.
In my mind this is like watching my favorite Fable and favorite Elder Scrolls come together to create a game that is -
something completely different, something real and much better!
So I wonder if there are others here who also was not familiar with the Witcher series, but were driven here for some reason!?
