Yes, apparently persistence, not patience, is a virtue. 4 hours or so of clicking the send button finally got through.

You should contact Atari, this is a known issue with the packaged game sold in Canada and a few other countries :peace:

I actually got this game for free through a newegg.com deal, and well, the keys on the paper case don't match the number of characters available on the log-in screen. If it is possible, can a GM help me register? It is a legit copy of the game, and I have the original newegg emails to verify it isn't a bottleged copy. Hopefully this can be taken care of in a private message?

I downloaded The Witcher from Gamesplanet, Metaboli, whatever you want to call it and all of a sudden the game will not work. When I try to launch it, it says "T@GES Online Activation *Maximum activation count reached. Your product can't be activated. Please contact the product support."I contacted Gamesplanet for the first time a week ago and have tried several times since. The only replies I get are the automated ones and I have followed their instructions for being forwarded to their customer service; Nothing. I cannot log into their forums because I was not given a login when I purchased the game and becoming a member requires a monthly fee. I have tried the password/username retrieval and it doesn't work. I am extremely disappointed in the (dis) service I am receiving.I simply want to play my game. Since when do you have to activate a game more than once? It's as if they give you a limited amount of times you can use the game! There have been no changes to my computer, no one else has my key, I have not done a system restore...nothing like that. Just to see, I tried running a no-CD executable a few days ago and I was able to run the game, but the latest no-CD patch is for version 1.2 and I am running version 1.3, therefore none of my saved games show up. If I use a regular version 1.3 executable, I have the feeling I will not be able to play the game since you are not given a CD when you download it from Gamesplanet.I went ahead and sent Atari an email to see if they could do anything about it, but we'll see...otherwise, can anyone help?

I'm having the exact same problem as well. I have Avira Premium, IE, and Firefox. My internet provider is Comcast cable. Windows XP firewall. What's really annoying is that I had to use Firefox to register, IE simply will not allow you to login for some reason. This also happens on the XFX support page, you need Firefox. I for one don't use Firefox, so it's a complete inconvience for me to download a browser for two websites. Please help.

After i installed the game into my laptop i created an account with my username and password then it asks me for the registration key located on the back cover of the maunal. The only key in my manual is on the front cover and i put it in and it says you must be logged in to do that. i have put the code in 100 times and it doesnt work... does anyone know what i can do?

My key is displayed on the very first page (well technically part of the cover, you know what I mean, I hope).I neither have one of the back or the actual front of the manual.Have you looked there?

It'd be nice to actually have an admin post something here. At least say they're looking into it.

I'm not following you. I did not find any solutions. I tried registering my copy. Did I need to? No. But I find it odd that it simply doesn't work. I've had problems registering online for a few websites using IE 7, so I used Firefox instead and it worked. When I try registering The Witcher, nothing happens, it flashes and you start all over.

you'll need it once the Enhanced Edition is out in September, so you can download it.do read some pages back here, there are some tricks mentioned, like clearing cookies, using the REGISTER.EXE for registration and others.

I also received my copy from Newegg, with my MSI 8800GTS 512 and like everyone else did not receive a key, however an email to Atari customer support Saturday netted me my CD-Key that i just got and registered with today. As to how I registered, I've seen it mentioned elsewhere in the forums in other topics concerning cd-keys, I put my DVD in the drive selected auto run(Vista 64) when it opened I selected Register The Game, logged into my forum account and entered my key and now its registered. For those of you Newegg users that still do not have a key, Contact Atari support via this link http://www.atari.com/us/support/supportemail/supportemail_form.php?productName=The+WitcherInclude a link to a screenshot of your invoice showing The Witcher such as this(all private info removed) You will want to leave the info I removed when you send it to them, I also sent a link to an image of my order history with the order having the game expanded as well. All in all it took 2 days 1 being on a weekend to get my key.
