Game runs slower after patch 2.0 (NVIDIA 8800GTX)

I have been playing Witcher 2 since its release day with my 8800 GTX. The auto-detect function puts me at "high" quality. I never had any trouble playing the game, it always ran smoothly. If a lot was going on (i.e. lots of enemies on screen) game play may slow down for a second or two, but nothing major.

Now, after 2.0, even walking around during the tutorial the games doesn't run smoothly. Geralt "lags" every few steps. I turned down my setting to medium and low and it got worse! What could be the possible reason for this? I have already updated my video drivers.

Specs: Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.66GHz
4 gigs of RAM
NVIDIA 8800GTX video card
Windows 7 - 64 bit

Tutorial runs bad for almost everyone. Exacly what u are speaking of. Performance needs to be fixed for that particular part of the tutorial. If u play normal game do u lag then ?

Ah, that seems to the problem. It's just the tutorial. Well thank you for that information.
