So have I and it's actually quite good for pre-alpha, so don't lose your pants CDPR.Wichat said:Ok. no need any help for finding it in youtube. I admit: I've seen too.
The thing is, the vid is not representative of tw3 final build, there is no sense in showing it now if they can show final build later and generate much more hype out of it.Kristehpwnz said:Oh no! A leaked footage!Poor CDPR, what to do now??? I guess they'll have to delete the game and start over...
But srsly, what's the deal with a few ppl seeing the gameplay? I mean every major gaming site has already seen it so it's not like they will give the game any bad rep...
But It has already leaked, it's done, there's nothing they can do now.Sirnaq said:The thing is, the vid is not representative of tw3 final build, there is no sense in showing it now if they can show final build later and generate much more hype out of it.
But they can't just sit and watch it all burn.Kristehpwnz said:But It has already leaked, it's done, there's nothing they can do now.
Yep. I did no find any faults with this video (except the obvious - recording quality). Geralt now can jump - imagine this!Kristehpwnz said:So have I and it's actually quite good for pre-alpha, so don't lose your pants CDPR.
Yeah, like i said earlier they can't do anything about it and there is no sense in crying over a spilled milk but i understand why are they pissed. If somebody with huge expectations would watch that video i am sure he will be little disappointed.Kristehpwnz said:But It has already leaked, it's done, there's nothing they can do now.
So they're doing a pretty bad job if you can just google the leak and watch it anytime. But we can't really blame them, it's the internet.gregski said:But they can't just sit and watch it all burn.
PR people are paid not only for hyping things up on Twitter, but also (and actually mostly) for damage control.
Ah there was a post about CDPR's response to NeoGAF? Truth of the matter is that NeoGAF is not responsible for the leak. Getting angry at NeoGAF is like getting angry at any forum since a member posted a link to a leak.AgentBlue said:I agree.
Apparently, NeoGAF got an email from them.
Apparently, they're mighty pissed.
Meh really. I am kinda tired of companies creating games in a vacuum where they don't share anything but very small bits of information until the graphics are ready or close to ready. I understand keeping the main story under wraps, but showing off bits of gameplay and graphics, that shouldn't be a problemYeah, like i said earlier they can't do anything about it and there is no sense in crying over a spilled milk but i understand why are they pissed. Exactly. That's why I was wondering why to have a new behind-closed-doors presentation of the same stuff at all. The first time people were unaware of TW3, and it made a huge effect. People didn't leak it because they did not know what it was. But for the second presentation it should have been expected that somebody would decide to record and leak it.CostinMoroianu said:Ah there was a post about CDPR's response to NeoGAF? Personally I think CD Projekt had this coming a mile away when they decided they were going to show pre-alpha gameplay footage but restrict that to those wonderful pieces of shit that we call "gaming journalists" while having those "journalists" generate a lot of media buzz and hype for their game.
They knew there were going to be a lot of people expressing an interest in their game and knew people were going to want to see the footage badly.
Really it's not surprising it happened.
As one statement of mine on this thread has already been misunderstood, I guess the best thing for me to do is to direct you to the said NeoGAF thread.CostinMoroianu said:Ah there was a post about CDPR's response to NeoGAF? If you are catering your game to a mature audience I think you should at least treat them with a bit of respect and not as imbeciles who will cry foul at how shitty it looks. Mature players would understand that there's still a lot of work to do.
There is no such thing as a professional gaming journalist. Sure there are plenty of people who review games, critique games and so on and I respect quite a few but they don't call themselves "gaming journalists"And disagree with and object to your blanket statement regarding gaming journalists, of which there are many kinds.
Well, I had and still have HUGE expextations and I'm not disappoined, considering that this footage is at least 18 months from the final game release.Sirnaq said:Yeah, like i said earlier they can't do anything about it and there is no sense in crying over a spilled milk but i understand why are they pissed. There is also a problem of protecting confidential material. There are other games in work in progress and the risk to be beat on the time is high.CostinMoroianu said:If you are catering your game to a mature audience I think you should at least treat them with a bit of respect and not as imbeciles who will cry foul at how shitty it looks. Late August + 18 months = February 2015Wichat said:Well, I had and still have HUGE expextations and I'm not disappoined, considering that this footage is at least 18 months from the final game release.
No, the date when it was created (before June-E3), not when I see it in youtube.AgentBlue said:Late August + 18 months = February 2015
