Oh I don't mind old-school gamers, I play a few myself and dislike the lame 'wider appeal' kiddie casual churning of franchises that were once good. I just don't want CDPR turned into Bioware because of 'fans' making a big fuss about petty things such as horned helmets.Mataresa said:Well, older certainly isn't always better, but not always worse either. I would be fine with you being able to choose, which one you want. As I also like the choice of view in the first one. But if not, at least they should make it input device dependant and not plattform dependant.
Oh and by the way, in games I prefer most older games, but mainly just because of the shift of genres. More focus on casual, mobile and occasional gamers, more handholding, more corridor walking, more achievment hunting, more collectables, more restrictive drm. Good that there are still exceptions that we can enjoy.![]()
Hehe, although I was one of the people that made a fuss about the horned helmets, I don't think you have to worry about them ever loosing sight of their goal and loosing their uniqueness. At least not for the forseeable future.sidspyker said:Oh I don't mind old-school gamers, I play a few myself and dislike the lame 'wider appeal' kiddie casual churning of franchises that were once good. But it's the list inventory that is older, and more "old-school". Grid inventory was natural evolution, halted later by consoles.sidspyker said:But I play every game KB+Mouse and still prefer list.
I'm not even sure about the forums now. Do people want solutions/advancement or just stuck with "older is better" notion.
Well you and I are never going to agree on this one.gregski said:Which didn't work well for some people for either platform.
I also appreciate the fact they are putting efforts to design the UI for each platform respectively. However, I'm rather disappointed that it looks like "damn, some people raged about the inventory and that grid is superior, so let's make it grid".
I wish we had options, but I also know it's too much to ask. Kinda sad, because TW2's inventory was a step in a right direction, even if not perfect and against the notion of "anything old school is better" that I stumble upon more and more among the gaming world.
'Old' as in, used in previous game(s).....Sirnaq said:But it's the list inventory that is older, and more "old-school". Grid inventory was natural evolution, halted later by consoles.
Must be a mod or recent patches or something, because it definately didn't look like that when I played Skyrim on release.cmdrsilverbolt said:Many of you will hate me for saying this, but Skyrim had a great inventory, look:
I don't know why there are so many items here, maybe it's a storage area or something, but I like that there's nothing fussy about this inventory system- just plain, unadorned, information.
I don't spend a lot of time in the inventory, so I don't appreciate when it's a pictorial minigame or puzzle.
