GeForce Experience 1.6.1 fixes some instances of 0xc0000142 error
For those for whom GeForce Experience 1.6 caused error 0xc0000142 to occur upon an attempt to run The Witcher 2 (witcher2.exe to be specific) we have good news. Nvidia released 1.6.1 update for GeForce Experience, which among other things fixes this issue.
Please note that there is no need to install GeForce Experience 1.6.1 if you experience the error and had no GeForce 1.6 already installed. There are other known possible causes for the error and they are listed HERE).
