If you leave the rabid dogs, they turn into Barghests; I'm glad that doesn't happen in OUR world!dieruhe said:In the prologue, at least, I only killed them if they were rabid or if a Barghest popped out of them. I haven't done the gravedigger's quest yet, but I'm sure I'll have no compunction to get it done.
LOL.Yea I mean, whenever I see a huge dog covered in flames I just wanna romp around the yard with him till he gets tired then chill out with him next to the campfire or something. ;DLyc said:And how many times did the beast attack Geralt, until Geralt pulled his sword out - Zero. Granted it attacked the peasants - but they deserved it.Oh sure, you could try and claim it made the Barghests attack, but notice how every time the beast appears and howls the Barghests attack a few moments later. It was probably trying to warn Geralt of an impending attack. And the circle of fires was its attempt to keep the Reverend, Odo, et al from attacking the witcher. But nooooo, just because its a big dog covered in flames people assume its okay to kill it. Did you kill Vincent as well? He turned into a big dog after all ;D
I killed Vincent because he was a dog lol. No seriously though I killed the dogs because of the tallow, mostly because I was too dumb and lazy to look in the barrels in the housing around the villages.Lyc said:And how many times did the beast attack Geralt, until Geralt pulled his sword out - Zero. In roleplaying terms, that's actually cheating, because the Gravedigger says something about wanting to get rid of stray dogs because they're rabid, lice-ridden or something.MichelleB12 said:i finished the quest without killing any dogs.heres how. look in ppls barrels wardrobes ect for dogtallow all the guy wants is dog tallow he doesnt care how you get it.
That's what the contract says. But then when you take him the dog tallow, he says that it's useful for the coffins he's making; it's like he's forgotten why he said he wanted it. Must be all that dwarven liquor.Planewalker said:In roleplaying terms, that's actually cheating, because the Gravedigger says something about wanting to get rid of stray dogs because they're rabid, lice-ridden or something.Planewalker said:i finished the quest without killing any dogs.heres how. look in ppls barrels wardrobes ect for dogtallow all the guy wants is dog tallow he doesnt care how you get it.![]()
Probably a bit of both. The city authorities charged him with the task of getting rid of the stray dog problem, so he subcontracted the job to a witcher and used the tallow to improve his coffins.Corylea said:That's what the contract says. That is true.PetraSilie said:It shouldn't gnaw at your conscience when you kill wolves. It's self defense and they attack Geralt even if he does nothing to harm them. And bear in mind... wolves give beast liver which contains Rubedo & Rebis which exists only in 3 ingredients (beast liver, lunar shards and green mold).
