i think the new Lambert is OK .. but he's definitely not a yank, more of an aussie (possibly kiwi) trying to sound like a yank ;)

Yeah he's OK but he just doen't sound like the Lambert that Sapkowski created. :)

that is entirely possible, but i've not met that Lambert :( -- so this one will do (I did like the old Lambert voice better, but this one is only slightly different)

The Lambert in The Blood of Elves is a young sharp-tongued witcher always with a grin on his face.
Now really imho the old Lambet sounded 100 times more Sapkowski'ish and had a much better personality then the new one, but thats only my opinion. :)

Wow. I always find it interesting, how differently two people can perceive the same thing. To me, the new Lambert sounds very different from the old one.

I actually didn't notice what accent he was using -- I was so struck by his being so much more polite than the old Lambert that I didn't pick up on anything else. And it's okay if we disagree -- I actually meant that part about it's being interesting that different people can perceive the same thing so differently. It doesn't hurt you if I think there's a big difference, and it doesn't hurt me if you think there's a small one; it's just interesting. This is one reason why eyewitness testimony is so unreliable -- different people can see the exact same thing very differently.

I completely agree with the orignal poster, the new voice acting is a huge, and I mean HUGE disappointment to me. I stopped playing the original Witcher and decided to wait on this version about half way through, and now I want to go back. It really has killed my interest in it. Seriously though, we can complain all we want, but we need to come up with a fix to keep the nice things added but just switch the voices back or something.

It's still pretty good, but a shadow of the original game. I think I'll be switching to Polish with English subs. We can all thank CDProjekt that they gave us the ability to do that very easily!

I noticed some differences in the Prologue so far, but all in all I like the new voice acting better than the old. Remains to be seen if that opinion will last.

For what I see the English voice over is 10 times better now than it was before. I know some people will always find the reason to complain. Some complain about accents but this is not what is important. Acting and the dialog text are keys and it's much better now in EE English version.

The new voices stink worse than dwarf farts. It was better the first time around. I mean...come on...what was wrong with the original Mikul voice saying "dead'uns"? And there are plenty of mistakes where the old lines were kept and the new lines were put in so that most of actors seem to have multiple personality disorder. Inflection is wrong, content is wrong, context is wrong, you name it, it's wrong. I cringe every time a new conversation comes up. I highly doubt I will finish this game again. But I am glad I didn't have to buy it a second time.

I'm disappointed as hell on the new English voice acting. The first time I heard it up to 1.3 was pretty cool. Why the hell did they changed crucial candid moments if not all. You'll notice this early on the game. ???

Ok I just have checked that – there are some differences in layout and some small diversity in bonus content (of course I’m talking about language issues!) . But the game itself is perfectly the same. Hope I helped

Out of the Prologue and in Chapter 1 now. Leo's funeral was better in the old version, but the rest of the Prologue voice acting was mostly better. Especially the fixed dialogue with Lambert and the sword fighting styles. *shudder*Chapter 1, haven't talked to all that many people yet, but some notices:- earlier Vesna was better for the most part, but some lines are better with the new acting- earlier Kalkstein was far superior, part of his charm was the furious, screechy voice and mannerisms. Too sedate now.More feedback as I progress.

I own the german version of the Witcher, and made the big mistake to install the EE while playing the last chapter.Don't get me wrong, it can't be honored enough that you are still supporting this one of the best RPGs ever with so much effort and for free! But WHY you thought you've to change voices? Did anyone ever blamed you that the voices are bad? At least in the german version they are - now in this final version. Geralt speaks to slowly, emotionless, and, maybe just because I shared so much (game-) time with him, the darker voice he got now just doesn't fit as good as the old one.I'm going back to install the old version again (I kept the saves before converting) and will finish the game in its old way. Maybe, maybe I give it a try with the new voiceover when I start from the beginning. But you can't change voices in the middle of a film, nor in a game. :-X

In the original, the Princess Adda voice acting made me cry.The improvement here, on its own, is enough to sell me on EE.
