Now he explains what he was 'damnit'-ing about, but yeah, it makes me grin too ;D And there are others that I've noticed sound different in the EE, but they took out Mikul's 'quatroneen'! :-[ That really annoys me, I liked the way they'd done that. In my opinion the new on doesn't sound half as good.

They did, but now it's really long. I feel like saying, "Just shut up and give me a room, already!"

I have the "sleep free" mod -- it doesn't seem fair to pay the full room price for a corner of the rug. :D

while some people take issue with all the ransacking of houses that i do, i never use mods to change the gameplay ... i prefer to play the game as designed :)

I think they could have taken the fire/camp thing a bit further and made it a Witcher skill to be able to find firewood and make a fire anywhere but in town. The better your skill the better you are at making camp and the less likely to be attacked in the night and have your meditation interupted thus causing you to maybe fail in a potion or something like that. It always bothered me that in some cases I could see fires but I could not use them and quite often it seemed to be at a time when my character needed a rest from drinking too many potions. so I would have preferred it if I could have learned to be able to make a fire anywhere I needed one, even having the ability to carry wood with me in small quantities perhaps even some sort magically treated wood.I have not read the books and so I am not sure if any of that makes sense but it would seem to me that if a fire was needed for a Witcher to meditate that he would be adept at making his own fires.

i've not read many of the books :) ... but the few i have read make no mention really of campfires ... Geralt just does what he must, when he must .. so if he needs a fire, he'll build one and if he can stay at an inn, he will :)

Ditto! I have commented on getting an old rug in the middle of the inn to meditate on, as well. Sometimes a Witcher might just want a little bit of peace and quiet to meditate in!

Why couldn't you just get the people who played the professor and the grandmother to re-voice everything? They were the best and everybody loved them.

I like the actor who voiced Geralt, also Zoltan, Kalkstein, Thaler, Vesemir, and The Resolute Girl. I didn't think Shani was voiced all that well, which annoys me, because I especially like Shani as a character.I agree that the old lady was great; I wonder if the actress is old or if she's just that good.I'm the world's worst actress, myself, so I'm always amazed at people who can be someone they're not.

Con:When chopping between old recorded dialogue and the new, sometimes the voice has changed (like watching old vs new episodes of your favourite cartoons), and sometimes a whole new voice actor has added dialogue. It's pretty bad with some of the minor NPCs. The major NPCs are mostly ok in that regard.Con:The removal of "Honor!" in trade district and the replacement of a constant "Damn it's hot in this thing". The new is more annoying than the old.And no, I cannot stand watching foreign films, so I won't be turning on Polish. Sorry, it's just a personal preference I have.

they never fixed the New Narakort Innkeeper for instance ... he goes from sounding like Odo to Jean-Luc Picard (or would that be Sean Connery ... some scot at any rate! :) ) and back

ah-ha, I endorse this list :) But oh my, the voice of Geralt ;D *sigh* The English voice is just sublime. I know the new Dandelion cops a bit of a hiding from time to time, and I do agree his exuberance has been dialled down a notch or two when compared to the excitable bard of 1.3, but I just adore the very final monologue as delivered by Dandelion. I need a swooning emoticon or something :D Who is that? I'd take my hat off to him, if I was wearing one :D

Wow. Cool! Thanks for explaining how to do that. How do you know which file goes with which line, though?
Thre also seems to be a lot of dialogue that isn't used in the game at all

Hmm. Are you sure it isn't dialogue for paths you haven't taken? If not, that's very interesting -- I wonder what it is!

I listened to a whole crap load of dialogue, and i just replaced all of lambert and leo since i didnt like the new voices. Also the file names with be the same, they will only differ in the file extension, one will have a .say and one will have a .ogg example file "abgl_2_7.ogg" goes with file "abgl_2_7.say"Also Garalt was talking about "Ravens" and "Crows" in the same context as he was the "Hawkers" and "Squirrels" iirc, i have listened to a lot of stuff right now, but i do remember a lot of dialogue about ravens and crows. I also dont remember any bruxa talking to me but it has been a while since i last played all the way through the game, i put the game down for a few months until the EE came out. So it is possible i have forgotten some things.I am not sure if i like the old or new Princess Adda voice, either way I don't think it matches the novel (reading that now) I read somewhere after Garalt saved her she had white hair and was retarted. Maybe someone can at least mod her to have white hair. Also iirc the date mentioned at the start of the game is not correct, I think it should be 1268 (but i am just being picky) to be in line with the novels. If someone can find the .ogg that has Garalt talking about witcher george please post the file name, waaaay too many garalt files to listen to right now. Also maybe someone can start a list of ogg files with extended dialogue / more appropriate emotion. Also does anyone know how the .say files are edited and just what do they do, i assume it is the text displayed while the person is speaking.

Adda is described has having "flaxen red" hair in the english translation of the short story "The Witcher", when Geralt lifts the curse from her. Also, in the english translation she isn't described as be mentally retared but simply "somewhat dull-witted".
