Moneywise, if you want to somethings rather fast, Act II is the most expensive Act, you might find out that you will need about 8000 to 9000 orenin that act to get the things and items or services you need to get through that act - and that does not include strong alcohol and certain books. So, while yore still in Act I, try to make as much money as you can. I think 2500 to 3000 should be your lower limit. There are ways to make up to 20000 oren in Act II, but that wikk take some time. Once you can advance to Act III, you will find, that you will have all (or most of) the money you will need, but II is hard with little money to spend. As i said - expensive.

Sorry if you mentioned it, but did you get the scrolls (notices) from the board outside the inn? those are moneymakers and exp point boosters. If you get Lewvardens(sp?) side quest- save it for the end of chapter one so you stand half a chance of completing it. You will want those exp points for the beginning of chapter two. Always look for these at the inn in the beginning of the chapters. Enjoy chapter two when you get there, It's great!
